They're all Commies!Follow

#1 Aug 27 2004 at 9:19 AM Rating: Decent
Man I'm at the point where I seriously doubt I'll vote in the upcoming election have you all been paying attention to what both candidates are doing regarding the 527's? Basically both are saying that we as a people can't get together and pool our money to express our political views. All politics is these days is the elite aristocracy trying to invent ways to keep people ignorant of what's going on. All those crooked commy bastards can go to h*ll I'm taking the money I make elsewhere.

Nobody cares who you vote for, or if you do at all, your vote dose not count.

If you dont vote, things will never change.

Failure to vote is an abrogation of responsibility.

In short, if you don't vote, then don't cry about politics.

What I find most difficult to understand is how so many people that do work hard would support an ideology where none can speak their own mind. I suppose that the majority of people really do want to be told what to think, how to speak, and basically how to live their lives. It's satan pulling the strings of the masses.

Lubri,

You do realize that democrats have compared Bush to hitler in their adds don't you? They should be able to run these adds all day it's up to the people to research and determine any validity in what they say. By saying private citizens can't get together to push an agenda you are effectively saying that only certain media outlets and politicians can enter into the debate. And I thought we were living in a place referred to as land of the free.

Something Varus never does when he spews his bullsh'it all over this forum and the rest of us have to do with all of his "arguments".

Admit it, people, Varrus has a valid point. While all of you have gotten your panties in a wad over the Swiftboat vet ads, there was no hue and cry about any of the mischaracterizations and outright lies about the Bush administration. It's a double standard that manifests itself on both sides.

It appears to me that the primary reason the Left is so incensed about these ads is because they are being effective-- which is why no one cared about the comparisons of Dubya to Adolph: no one listened. Yet they still were being aired.

Show me some indignation about the beam in your own eye before you expect me to get upset about the mote in mine.

Oh I think it's more than a mote.

Honestly, I haven't seen any of the ads, though I've heard portions of the swiftboat ads against Kerry. That's why I haven't said much, one way or the other regarding their content.

Or, did your silly Preacher tell you this! Please, don't advise people to speak thier own minds when you have speak what your religious leaders tell you!!!

As for Bush, and the two parties we currently have, they are all corrupt to core! Dems and Repubs are all cut from the same cloth!

Wow thats twice today varrus that you have made a valid point. Did someone smack you in the face with a bag of insight, or did my PB&J sandwhich set out in the sun a little too long?

Either way we live in a free country, that embraces the freedom of speech no matter how stupid that speech may be. Groups should have the right to say whatever the hell they want.

The problem is when that speech is made over the public airwaves. Technically the people as a collective whole own the airwaves, so its in their best interest to have them moderated in some way. Equal access and all that jazz.
