Tom O'Hara is a cousin and my god father. Of course being on the cover of SI jink him with a virus for the 1964 Summer Olympic Games.
Family can trace back to the Mayflower, but I find having another distant cousin who was a bone setter and 7th son, who drank himself to death in Normal Irish bachelor fashion far more interesting.
I went to school with Jim Trabor, who play first base with the O's before going to Japan and fading from memory. Jonwin works in museum next to Hotel that the Yankees and few other baseball teams stay at while in town and has met a few players and their wives. Shame he wasn't working the day Nicole Kidman visited the museum.
