Is a good place to learn. People are mostly freindly and will answer questions and try to help new players.

That's a good hourly rate. You can make a living doing that. I see what you mean about the patience and long term. I'm actually trying to get the game down before my trip to Vegas in two months. I've been known to have low stamina on poker night with friends, how does one overcome this?

Stop playing? :)

If you're playing and you find yourself tired or hungry or bored it's time to stop.

Personally, I love playing poker win or loose. I'll play for 20 hours straight, loose $1000 and still be happy as a clam. Naturally I'm happier when I play for 20 hours and win $5000, but really, I'm happy either way.

If I find myself tired, but still wanting to play, or pissed off, or bored, I'll drop way down in limits and just play crazy, raising everything, playing every hand for a while and loose (or sometimes win) a little bit of money and then go back to my normal lmit when I feel better.

I guess I misunderstood what you meant, that's all pretty obvious. Either way, what's the best real money online place to go to? I tried partypoker and pokerstars and another I can't remember the name of.

Don't know. Pokerstars seems to be the consensus. I play at Ultimatebet which is fine, allthough the games are a little tougher lately and the software occasionally crashes. I can't be bothered to move at the moment.

Casino's are by far the best places to play, though. The low limit games at casinos are ungodly soft and easy to beat.

OK sounds good. I'm actually trying to get some practice in before Vegas. It's gonna be a hardcore poker only trip.

Play at the Excalibur. They have a "learn to play" thing where they teach you the basics and then you can play $1/$2 or $2/$4 holdem with rubes.

It's like a liscence to print money. If you're going to play higher limits, the Bellahio has far and away the nicest poker room in Vegas. The Horseshoe is a little run down but worth a pilgramidge to say you played in the same place that all the greats have.

If you're lucky you can watch the "big game" at teh Bellagio where they play $15,000/$30,000 H.O.R.S.E.

I would actually like to observe some higher stakes tables. Thanks for the recommendations, my last few trips I tended to drift towards the Hard Rock Hotel because of the younger crowd and the hotter chicks.
