I was watching this horrible John Wayne vehicle today, because it was on AMC and they hyped it as "The only Vietnam War movie filmed during the war!"
Holy shi[b][/b]t! I mean I've seen some propaganda jobs in my time, but it was just stunning.
I was laughing my *** off. Mr. Sulu plays a South Vietnemise army officer who works with the US forces, I was probably the funniest movie I've seen in years.
There was a poor orphaned child, a dog, the cynical reporter who's convinced that the war is just afer he sees 90 percent of the Green Berets killed with puji sticks.
Man, it was great.

Its funny you should mention this. I spent the last few weeks recovering from throat surgery and I think I saw this movie at least 6 times. I couldnt make it through the whole thing. When they say it was filmed during the war you shoulda know the propaganda was coming. You are right though, the propaganda is so blantant it makes you laugh.....or maybe it was the pain meds. Eh.
