#1 Aug 10 2004 at 3:15 AM Rating: Decent
Thought it was about time this forum had a UK based Query! With Chelseas huge spending spree and Man Utd out for revenge after last season can ******* take the premiership title two years running?

It will again be a race between the big three - ******** Man U and Chelsea. Liverpool *might* challenge also.

Of the three, Chelsea's is easily the strongest squad. Their "B" team would probably also challenge for the Premiership Title. However their "A" team is probably slightly worse than both ******* and ManU.

******* were simply awesome last season. It does very much depend on whether Vieria stays or goes I would say. With Vieria I think they would win again, without, I think they would be less dominant, and Pires and Henry might also consider leaving or sulk.

ManU are struggling for the first month or two of the season due to injuries and suspensions, so I suspect they might lose a lot of early ground. I expect them to come back very strong from November though, when Ferdinand is back, Van Nist is recovered and Ronaldo has had a chance to get over his busy summer.

Tough one to call this year, lots of ifs, buts, depends and maybes. The team that I think will be overall most successful, including the Champions League and FA cup, will probably be Chelsea due to having the strongest squad.

I agree with Pat.

If Vieira stays (he is linked to Real Madrid and not for the first time - possible move on Thursday according to the BBC) ******* will come out on top.

Chelsea may have the biggest and strongest squad, but that doesn't mean jack in modern football in which matches are mostly decided in the favor of teams with the best collective.

Chelsea, to say it Dutch-like, is loose sand. Under normal circustances they cannot be a thread for the Gunners, who are a solid team.

I must confess I hope Chelsea will do well. I have a crush on Robben (Holland's diamond), Lampard and to a lesser extent Mateja Kezman.

Oh, and I am gonna keep an eye out for Newcastle and Charlton. I have a hunch they will do well this season.

Goal,
a big Premiership and Ruud van Nistelrooij fan

Of course ******* will win it.

Mourinho is an arrogant overrated ***. It's bring me great joy to see the Gunners beat any team coached by him.

******* should take the CL too, easily.

Mourinho overrated? Heh.

I dislike his way of playing, but he ondoubtedly is a very good coach and tactician.

Oh, and ******* won't win the CL. Not with the mediocre defenders and goalkeeper they have at the moment. Even a team with Bergkamp, Henry and Pires cannot make up for a bunch of noobs at the back.

Oh 2: sod off Aady, this is a men's sport ;p

Nah, too easy to pick them. Same story as Chelsea in my opinion.
They will get far, I am sure, but I think the semi's will be their Waterloo.

I am not sure yet, though. I'd have to see a few matches to make a semi-educated guess. (/cough)

But for now: Valencia )

The one doesn't involve genetic mutants hopped up on steroids pushing each other a few feet while wearing riot gear?

Just a guess.

Sumo is far more violent than US Football, it must be ten times as manly.

Of course they 'Can' win it but i am more inclined to pick Chelski if i had to choose the winner out of the top three.

Utd have too many injuries atm so that will hamper themuntill new year and i think they will be too far of the pace by then.

If Viera goes ******* do not have someone to relace him so they could struggle to be as consistant mainly against the lesser teams.

That 17 yo is good but i think if Robbie Savage gives him a good kick 2 mins into the game he would disappear.

which brings me to my last point. I think Birmingham and Newcastle will finish above Liverpool this year <just a hunch.>

US football is for pansies. Sorry.

I am curious if Wenger will give Van Persie a chance. He has great potential, but didnt bring what he could at Feyenoord.

Birmingham had a nice shopping basket. Murphy will do them good.

Why did he leave the Reds anyway? :/
