Of course he doesn't. The onus isn't on the person being lied about to prove he's not lying, it's on the people perpetrating the lies to show ANY evidence that what they're saying is true.

The affidavit that Elliot signed stated that he agreed to a statement in the book without actually having the knowledge that Kerry shot a Viet Cong in the back while running away.
