Campaign Promises you'd like to see realized.Follow

When I was in elementary school I recall there were elections for student council. I also recall that the 8- through 10-year-olds that were running promised big changes so that we'd vote for them. It was a non partisan system where students were able to freely suggest ideas and have them made into policy. So one of the 10-year-olds running for student council president stated in her campaign speech that she would make sure that recess was extended for an extra half hour and that the drinking fountains that spouted water would instead dispense various soft drinks. Of course this never actually came to fruition - the other guy won.

My question is: what campaign promises would you like to hear come from the current presidential candidates and which would you like to see realized?

I'm still holding up my soda-drinking fountain flag. I'm also hoping that recess will be extended at work an extra thirty minutes to a total of thirty minutes.

Yeah. I dunno. I was kinda hoping that by this stage in our social evolution we'd have soda coming out of public drinking fountains. Or beer. At this point in my life, I'd accept (maybe even prefer) beer. For free. At public parks and recreational areas.

trickybeck, you are freaking hilarious. Really. You should consider a career in comedy. You could be the next Dennis Miller. I wouldn't even bother with any other options. I'd move to L.A. right now and get an agent. I'm serious. You're that good.

That's probably the Republicans, but they'll allow any spam by companies that pay them and will in the process of filtering read all your email and assmble a dossier on you that they'll use in a few years to detain you for six minths without a charge because you used the words "Bomb", "Allah", and "Ourangatang" more than once.

Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.
