It looks like terrorism is in fact effectively eroding support for the "cause" in Iraq. And this is not counting the attacks made directly on Iraqis.
but, when we shouldn't be in there in the first place, doesn't it seem to make sense?

Well, they are currently winning. The reason for that is, that someone was stupid enough to try and rebuild Iraq without completely securing it first. Now we have all these civilians mixed in with the military, and security is now a joke. Of course its not completely the fault of the countries trying to help Iraq. Its also the fault of the Iraqi people who don't get it. If they want to be a third world country forver, then we will leave Iraq alone and should just create a Kurdish state. That way we can protect the Kurds, and leave the rest of Iraq to suffer for their inability to get a clue. The Kurds have the right idea. They are helping to rebuild what Sadaam destroyed. They are working with us, instead of against us, and the result is progress for the Kurds. Their smart, the rest of Iraq doesn't get it.

Their greatest hope is that Bush gets re-elected so they can continue to easily recruit and operate unhindered in Africa while Iraq is seen as the central focus of the "war on terror".
