As for Ober, STFU! Yes, I have read his post on Arabs. Still as far as the war is concerned, I support the troops, but I do not support that war completely. I still think we should pull back and take care of the Kurds. Then pull everyone out of the major cities in Irag and bomb the cities to dust. Then leave the rest of the Iraqi people to survive on their own. Don't see much point in having good men and women die for a country of whiny losers. If they want freedom, then they should earn it like the rest of us. I'm sure we would be happy to help, but they have to do the work. At least we are giving them the chance, but until they do something about it we might as well tell them to go f*ck themselves! We are pretty nice to make their bullet riddled mosques truly holy though!

I say "apparently" because it recalculates your karma only after each of your posts, not after each rating. I assume this is for performance reasons.

Nah, we don't go in for the whole lawsuit thing, even though I suspect we'd have a case if that was what we were disposed to doing. Part of me understands the position the company is in since she has been such an integral part of the day-to-day operations and she hasn't been able to go to work for the past two months and likely wouldn't be able to return until the end of this month at the earliest.
Yet I am just a wee bit surprised that they are cutting her loose just after this relatively short amount of time. Add to that that the company has not had to provide medical benefits since I work for a hospital and it just appears callous.
The upshot is she isn't unhappy about the whole thing, especially since we have been discussing me flying in Hawaii in the next year or so, which, of course, means she'd have left anyways. She's ready to try something new; and with her getting better this'll be a fine time for her to go out and do something new.
Anyhow, thank you to everyone who expressed warmth for her recovery. As for the rest of you, well, you can lick my stinky parts and get a good case of E. coli.
