First off, as others have already said, the parents advertizing their son just because he has a fatal disease is not the best attitude. Whatever they spent making that site is that much LESS that they have to help get their son treated.
And how does us thinking about him help anything?? He has no idea who we are, he'd probably hate us if he met us, and us thinking about some little boy with a fatal disease isn't going to make our day much brighter and rainbow-f'ucking-filled.
And even if he does die, power to him, he gets to escape this hell hole we call a planet and be happy for all eternity! Plus, that's one less person we have to worry about when considering over-population, which is an issue I feel should be recognized more often. So all in all, I see no point to this post.

God you guys are hilarious, this entire page made me laugh my *** off.
jumping on the bandwagon to say sure, it sucks, but this kid's story isnt particularly sad or important.
I'll go even further to say that comparing his suffering to suffering in the world as a whole is not downplaying it. It's hard to put a value on emotion, it's purely subjective. Most people don't go around feeling empathy 24 hours a day or they'd be drugged within an inch of their life, on the edge of suicide. There's a lot of things that suck, and "awareness" doesn't do **** unless it's preceded by some kind of result-yielding action.

Hmm, I may need to change my attitude, I think i've got a brain tumor too. Every day now I get this numb ache in the back of my head that runs down the back of my neck. I'm sure my cerebellum is rotting away. But, since I'm not just some anonymous kid, and you all know me (to a limited extent) you all better pray for my recovery. Even though I'm not religious and don't give any credence to prayer, and I'm a hypochondriac and probably completely healthy.
