"I will be a commander in chief who will never mislead us into war. I will have a Vice President who will not conduct secret meetings with polluters to rewrite our environmental laws. I will have a Secretary of Defense who will listen to the best advice of our military leaders. And I will appoint an Attorney General who actually upholds the Constitution of the United States."

An a$$? Your purposeful obtuseness is making you look ridiculous, Timothy. Just who do you think Kerry's talking about here? Are you really so rabid now that you are spliting hairs over my semantics when discussing the gist of Kerry's speech? After all, if that is what we are doing, look a third of the way down the page. What is that you see? Why, yes! It is mention of our president! By name, even! Huh!

The truth of the matter is, Bush has an agenda, which incidentally, you don't like. Kerry said-- and I quote here for your benefit since that seems to be the necessary mode here --"And on my first day in office, I will send a message to every man and woman in our armed forces: You will never be asked to fight a war without a plan to win the peace.

I know what we have to do in Iraq."

Oh, really? And what plan might that be? Hmmm, doesn't say anything further down... <scrolls down> ...nope. Nothing. Hmmm? Might he be saying Bush (that apparently unnamed president) went in without a plan? Does he actually believe that that happened? He went in with absolutely nothing? Zip? Nada? All those military commanders with op plans, strategic outlines, and he didn't look or consider a one of them? Huh. No, make that a double huh.

You see, your adoring gaze at Kerry has blinded you to even discuss this, reducing you to calling me an a$$.

Niiiiiice. So this is what all this has reduced you to. Unreal.

Yeah, it seems to do that on occasion.

That would probably be Illia's doing. :-> HE'S THE ONE WHO'S AGAINST YOU!

And he's the one who gave the backdoor password to Smash.

Lol, no kidding. And as grumpy as Smash seems to be today, there must have been no lube involved.

Why don't you find out what the President did when Pearl Harbor was bombed and post that for a comparison. It's been the only other thing to happen on american soil of this nature. If you're so wrapped up in what Bush did for seven minutes why don't you show us the precedence for behavior after an attack on American soil.

Edit: Here's a hint: locked door.

Someone said that they only approved of one thing he'd done in that time range (IIRC). That was the first thing to pop into my mind.

I still think that "Goodnight Moon" is roughly at Bush 43's reading level.
