Ah, the election will be a grand circus this year round.

"But The Sun-Sentinel of Fort Lauderdale, in a recent analysis of the March presidential primary, reported that voters in counties using touch-screen machines were six times as likely to record no vote as were voters in counties using optical-scan machines, which read markings on paper ballots."

If the person voting has not the intelligence to choose between the little marks on the touch screen, then perhaps their vote should not be counted.

I wonder how many people talk to the machines.

"Bob Dole wants Bob Dole for President."

Ah well, something else for whichever party loses to whine about. Although, the part about the machines just losing the votes is FANTASTIC.

VOTER: "I voted for Bush/Kerry"
BOB DOLE: "All your vote are belong to Bob Dole."

There's a similar article on CNN.com about a crash that occurred late last year that lost the gubernatorial election information from 2002. A Fark summed it up as "Florida practices for upcoming election by "losing" electronically recorded votes".
