On Monday 26th July the UK Goverment set up a web site called 'Preparing for Emergencies'
All very sensible stuff, but it's come in for a bashing from the press as patronising and alarmist.

Far more entertaining is the 19 year old student in Yorkshire who's taken the **** beautifully with his spoof site 'Preparing for Emergencies'
Not sure how long this link will be active, as the Government have instructed him to take down the site as it "undermines the government's position"
Not often Students earn my respect, but this guy's the exception.

Hey we're free to say anything we like (as long as it makes Blair sound good).

My favourite part:

If you are involved in any emergency it is important to:

  • Run like hell, particularly if you caused the emergency.

  • Trample all others in your desperate attempt to escape.

  • Loot on the way out.

    Schools
If your children are at school you will naturally want to collect them as soon as possible in the event of a major emergency. But it may not be safe to do so. After all, the first place the terrorists hide is in schools! Do you want to anger the terrorists? Do you? Hm? I didn't think so. Stay home.

This was my favorite part of the site hehehe

Yep and the booklet is on it's way to 25 million homes. What are all the refugees going to think? They escape their home lands for a better life then told how to act against terrorism.

However I think it's not a bad idea to the extent some make it out to be. It's not to scare as much as to make sure people, if the worst should occur, know how to act.

However, where were these during the decades of IRA terrorism that saw the loss of thousands of innocent men women and children? I think this is about makng it look like the goverment are doing something. I voted Blair but he has lost my convidence, not only has he ignored the people but even his own party.

My money is on Blair handing leadership over to Gordon Brown, I don't even think it will go to a party vote.
