This is how all political debates should be handled...

My favorite line is about Haagen-Dasz.

Haha. I also love how the lady in the interview talked about bringing her kids to see the demonstration after receiving an email about it from a Republican mailing list...First books, now ice cream. What's next?

Well it makes a *** sight more sense than some of the drivel we hear in the Assylum in defence of Mr Bush.

I bet Kerry's shaking in his boots now!

Mouth, meet my friend Mr Foot here.

I am glad I have the freedom of speech, but I guess, according to this fellow, it is un american to actually use it.

Agreed. If we can't call our own President a jackass, what can we do? It is not only our right, but our responsibility to question our leaders. (Stole that last bit from a movie, though I can't remember which one...)

One of the founding premises of this country is the right to free speech.

I don't have to like what you say. I may want to punch your lights out for it. And I might do so. But *I* am not the government. The government should act to protect the rights of its citizens, not to hinder them. If I punch you out for using you right to free speech, then I should be subject to applicable prosecution and punishment. No matter how justified I feel about it on a personal level.

Anyone who can't take criticism should not be in public office. They aren't suited to the job. And they should probably see a surgeon to get that cranial rectoinversion taken care of.
