I'm not sure Varrus is a puppet. They were here since the beginning of these forums in the SWG area, the IP address is not a direct match with anyone else, and they have not been rated by or rated any of the people I would consider likely suspects. Given that information and the age of the account, i'd say there was a better than 50% chance they are not a puppet. I also have been known to be wrong on occasion, but not often.

With the internet why would I watch speaches? I can read them at my leasure and have the tools right in hand to check the facts.
TV news ratings are down. Newspaper subscriptions are down. Just like radio usage went down when TV became widespread.
Bush is loosing horribly. Do the math. To reach 270 electoral votes, he has to win in states like Washington, Iowa, Oregon, Minnesota and/or Wisconson - some of which haven't voted Republican for president for over 20 years and he is currently trailing in the polls in all of them - and has been for months now - by margins exceeding the so-called "margins of error" of the polls, although those are spurious. It's only a question of whether his party can distance themselves from him, his cabnet and his policies enough to actually retain control of some branch of government.
If saying the TV ratings are down helps you sleep better at night, more power to you but in terms of the election, its going to take more then getting his brother to systematically disenfranchize thousands. I doubt moving the election would help him out - putting America to sleep about the election is probably the only way to go for Bush: certainly not highlighting it.
