I like Leary, but isn't he being typecast as a tomcatting lovable maverick in every role these days? I swear every show he's in portrays him as a guy whose home life is on the rocks but he has a good heart.

I dunno if it will last. I didn't see it but I really liked his show on ABC "The Job" I hope to catch this new one soon, maybe it will last longer since it's on cable.

Nope, I stopped watching TV after Star Trek went down the tubes and they put out some of my favorite shows on DVD. Now I don't have to worry about commericals when I watch Millenium, Stargate SG-1, or Babylon 5. Yeah! Now all they have to do is add Home Improvement, Miracle, and Poltergeist: The Legacy to DVD.

Yea Home improvement is like my eighth favorite show. I would really like them to put out Small Wonder or The Hogan Family cause those shows were action packed. Do you remember the one episode of Small Wonder where Vicky the Robot became a crack *****? Yea that one was great because it taught me with great power comes great responsibily I think?

Kids shouldn't do drugs because if they did there would be less for me!

TV is a complete waste of time, but you all know this.

That said the shows I waste my time with are

History channel: Mail call

Fox and CNN for news

Stargate

That's about it...

What isn't a waste of time?

Hell, even typing this is a waste of time.

Thats true. Replying to some of the posts in this forum is a waste of time. Come to think of it, I have posted on quite a few of them today. ~sigh~ Forgot about the History Channel, but I don't get cable because the prices have skyrocketed. I would rather spend that money on DSL anyway. I will probably watch TV during football season. I might start watching TV when the networks figure out that the so called reality shows aren't reality and drop them. How about a Fear Factor where you actually scare the sh*t out of someone. Not a Fear Factor where you feed them something nobody with even a small percentage of brain matter would eat.

Shoot, look at what ABC did to Kingdom Hospital. You had no idea if the show would ever be on. Of course it was slow. Stephen Kings movies always start slow. He is trying to introduce the story to you, get you to know the characters, and slowly introduce you to what is really going on. One you get through all of that, then you get your reward for your patience. Miracles was another one they screwed up. They keep dropping shows that have possibilities: That one with Jessica Alba, Firefly, Miracles, and a host of others. I don't think they know what their doing.

I like Denis Leary, but a firefighter drama series doesnt really appeal to me.

I stopped watching TV for the most part some 7 years ago, when I started working night shifts and couldn't watch prime time anymore. Now, with a normal schedule and 900 channels on DTV, programming is just utter crap. Cartoons, movies, Discovery and syndicated favorites are all I watch.

I watched it last night. I thought it showed promise, it appeals to my twisted personality I guess. Yes, he does get typecast a bit, but he's got that type of personality and edge that if you don't take advantage of it he's just another shmo.

And with it being commercial free was pretty damn cool too. Wasn't a bad idea, I wonder how much Miller paid to sponsor it.
