This quote says it all
Quote:
The point is: We went to war far too early, without the approval of the United Nations, the support of most of our Allies, and the proper intelligence and planning. What would have happened if we had waited for that information? Nothing, most likely, based on information, investigations, and reports on prewar intelligence since then. By doing so, we alienated a good portion of the world, and gave them the impression of the U.S. being a bullheaded, preemptive, and arrogant country.
This is the type of commy anti-american sentiment that is prevalent throughout the democratic party and one of the main reasons kerry doesn't stand a chance.
The majority of americans do not think we need the approval of the UN in order to head off possible threats to America. However, we did alienate quite a bit of the world, but that's to be expected considering the majority of the world don't believe in the ideals of a democratic society. So regardless of what the U.S. does half the world is going to be in opposition to it.
And listen to yourselfs you're actually hoping the U.S. doesn't find any nuc's even if they're there. One of the major reasons we went to war was to uncover these nuc's and now that some may have possibly been discovered you have dems screaming politics, it's not enough, and all sorts of things.
The point is Iraq was a threat, and still is, the minute Iraq expelled the inspectors years ago they broke the cease-fire agreement we should have gone in. We are only doing now, under strong leadership, doing what no other country in europe was willing to do, sound familiar <cough> ww2.
