Nice job, CNN, on promoting identity theftFollow

I have no idea what the real story is with this Marine Hassoun, but I am amazed that CNN has been televising his ID card and Geneva Convention card all day with his social security number, name, birth date, and address on it plainly in view for anyone to steal.

Good job, idiots.

That's not the identity I'd choose to steal at the moment, but a fair point nonetheless.

Remember when 60 Minutes televised an incompletely redacted insurance form and left some congressman's SSN in full view for like a minute? Fun times.

Or that other funny time, when Bob Novak compromised an agent that was the wife of a guy the Republican's hated?

Woo-hoo, barrel of fricking monkeys!

We should all order credit cards with his name and spend to the limit on it since he's prolly guilty anyways.

So what you're saying is, don't ever give personal information to Totem, do I have that right?

The entire state of California employee payroll database was hacked a couple years back. Working at a state-funded University, I got the form letter. Called the phone number attached thereto to place the 'hold' on my account. Get a call from American Express to verify the card "I" requested over the internet nigh a month later. Sadly, that "magic" phone number - which was supposed to place a fraud protection (hold? whatever you call it) on my account - didn't.

...and to this day I still can't get rid of that darn Cat Fancy subscription!

Yes, Cat Fancy. I'm pretty sure the 'Roo is a charter subscriber from waaaaay back. He seems like the type who'd read it for new ways to train your cat to **** in the toilet or stimulate his noggin by doing the "Famous Felines Crossword Puzzle."

But for you, War, I'm pretty sure they publish a Sheep Fancy or a Gerbil Fancy.

Entirely likely, but I suspect that's more Skeeter's prefered bathroom reading material.

Nope. The wife is though :)

Not everyone subscribes to "White Power Weekly" like the Totem household.

Considering the amount of personal background checks credit card companies do on a regular basis, it's a safe bet you could do a hell of a lot more with that and a fictitious birthdate than simply having someone's power shut off.

Hmm...How about all of the above? He can arrive at the Armed Forces camp with a stack of Cat Fancies and enough pineapple and ham pizzas to feed the entire barracks, since his house will be without power.

If he's married...get him a lifetime subscription to Penthouse and Playboy. Have blow-up dolls sent to his house, or buy a crate of condoms and have them delivered to his front yard. See how his wife likes that.
