Man, when I was a kid we got off on cutting school and driving 60 in a 35 zone. Leave it to America's wang to produce such behavior.

You think suspension is wierd? Poor guy.... Africans and Native Americans practiced this for centuries.

"Damn wierdos. There's no law against this huh?"

"Nope, not one I can find. They can hang there all day if they want to."

"Well, send the tape to the Feds, maybe they can find a law."

"Yes sir, we can't let kids do harmless things when it makes us feel uncofortable, can we sir?"

"Hell no."

Some tribes, after a birth, take part in sharing the placenta as a snack, in order to "keep it within the tribe"

What is your point AG?

It has been normal. For centuries. I don't think it's normal, I know it is. I also live in a city where it happens all the time, I know at least 3 separate groups that do it on a regular basis. You have to understand though that to the "normal" people in everyday life this seems odd, but for some one who practices this on a regular basis will compare it euphoria most of the time. It's a difference in people. I don't personally do it, I don't like that much pain, but I might try it one day just to see what it's really like. Think of it like fasting, or some other uncomfortable meditation medium.

AG is right. It's old news.

Why on Earth would anybody want to eat an organ with it's main purpose to remove crap from the bloodstream before it passes to the baby. It's not exactly brimming with nutrients.
#16 Jul 19 2004 at 7:35 PM Rating: Decent
Read the link...........It IS brimming with nutrients, particularly vitamin B6.

Being old doesn't make it not weird. It's weird because a small percentage of the population practices it.

It actually was also used as a rite of passage for some native americans. They would hang there until they found their divine being then come down. Some people still do it for the sense of peace that it brings.
Granted they could be spending their days stripping themselves of individuality and practicing underhanded business tactics so that they could drive a nicer car AND get someone else fired. Foolish kids.

You don't have to tell me about the practice-- I watched the movie A Man Called Horse, but because people do it doesn't mean it's normal. I suppose lighting your farts in public or picking your nose at the dinner table and eating them as an appetizer is done in a number of places, but that doesn't mean it's not weird.

Hanging from hooks is weird. Hanging with hookers is normal. Both give you intense feelings of euphoria, but one leaves you needing a shot of penicillin and the other leaves you needing a tetnus shot*. See the difference?

I see what you're getting at, however I think it's rather foolish to assume that it's wierd because you don't do it. Escargo is "wierd" to most people, and yet its common in alot of places.

I think my biggest problem with what you've said is the implication that you're doing something unsafe when practicing it. (The tetenus shot bit.) Odds are that a piercer is helping in suspension (at least here in Portland) and I would go out on a limb and say that at least 90% os piercers in Mult. county are licensed and certified by the health board. (I have never met a piercer who uses a needle twice) Hooks are a bit different, but think about what an autoclave does.

Your not really seeing this as something some people look at almost spiritually. For me that endorphine rush from just piercing makes sex obsolete. Pain is a lifestyle, being a ****** and dating a sadomasochist has been more fun than any relationship I've ever had. If "wierd" is wrong I don't want to ever be right. I'll let the cowards have "Straight Sex" I want something with zest. I say try out some piercing totem, theres lots of temporary piercings you can get that you only leave in a few days, then come back and tell us how you feel. ^^ (You only live once.)

Yo AriesGhost! SE Reprezent! LOL! You from Portland too? Odd.

Actually, if you are near SE, you should try looking up Sick: The Life & Death of Bob Flanagan, Supermasochist. Clinton Street Video has it, I don't know about other local video stores since I only go to that one. He was an interesting fellow. It was kind of odd, I saw this video, and realized that I had been to his multimedia exhibit in NYC like 8 years ago, and had completely forgotten about it.

Sweeeet. This year I will make it to the Fetish Masq Ball damn it. I missed the last 2 major BDSM events. :( I'll have to check that video out. :) I'm in NE, not too far from Daddies Board shop, Home of the Big Wood. ;)

Edit: oooo you're in P-town, you ever watch public access here? I was on a local show called Moral Reality produced by Control Factor, about 4 times I think. Was a show about sex lives, and industry, here in the big drip.

Oh purrrrlease. You carry on convincing yourself that your lifestyle is some sort of bravery , and that everyone else is a coward. If that makes you feel better about being a freak, more power to you.

I convince myself nothing. I like what I am and what I do, if you don't, **** off. If you have never tried it, and you feel the need to knock it, you're quite frankly a ******* coward. Simple as that.
You can sugar coat it all day long but in the end scared is scared. So stop being a pu$$y and go out and find something new, or are you happy in the womb?

Edit: dodged the filter....

Get defensive much? It is ok, your ilk make for great late night trash TV, it is all good. Few things make me laugh more than **** ups trying to philosophise about being flagellated while wearing a gimp suit.
#26 Jul 20 2004 at 4:32 AM Rating: Decent
Yes, yes, blah blah. Wonderful way to stereotype a sexual lifestyle. I bet you learned that all from a movie right? Bet it was called "Daddies Home Movies" right? Poorly marked BETA tape? Buried in the bottom of your dads sock drawer? Yeah, thought so.

You might actually want to read up on it, then you wont appear woefully uneducated when you lump it all up with the words flaggelate and Gimp suit.
