Now I'm curious. Are you saying cough syrup has substances that, if found in a UA or some such test would threaten your job security?

Sorry for the hijack, I'm just curious.

I think dextromathorpine looks like an opiate in a drug test if I'm not mistaken. Also, often there is pseudoephedrine, too.

Yep. FAA regs are very strict on what is acceptable and what is not. Most cough syrups have a decongestant I am not allowed to take.

The other nights experience was horrible. I was incredibly paranoid, and I was around all good friends even. I thought that everyone was making fun of me. I know it sounds rediculous

Whenever that happens to me, I just keep smoking until I lose all grip of reality.

I've only smoked about 5 or 6 times before but one night me and my friends had alot of weed and after the first joint we smoked I had like a line whenever I was above the line I was happy but whenever I was below the line I was really paranoid and cold so I laid on the couch while they went to do some more and then later on that night I ended up doing some more with them. The paranoid feeling only lasted about 40 minutes but I was cold for about 3 hours (but that's not weird cuz I'm always cold, I'm cold right now and I haven't smoked in a month)

i'm to lazy to read all the rest of the posts but hers my two pence. What you experianced could have been a reaction with other chemicals in your system, like alchol. The first, and only time iv had that sort of reaction was at a party were i had been drinking first and im lead to believe that it can be caused by spirits such as vodka and whisky mixed with hash.
It probably wasn't laced and was just a bad reaction, also you said it was a bong, which seems to hit you harder than a joint in my opinion.
Next time just be careful and try and smoke from a joint if you have the choice (preferably one you rolled yourself or by someone you trust)

Every strain of canibus has different levels of THC. Which is the natural ingrediant that you get the high from. Smoking a bong allows a much more intensive 'hit' than from a joint of pipe cooling down the smoke. Because of that impact of the 'hit', areas of your lungs that werent as effected via a joint or pipe as they were with the bong. So ya got more intake. Marajuana does increase heart rate and when ya hold your breath, that increases heart rate as well. Makes your body work harder. Coughing etc.. Im not a doc and just a opinion.
People often think that its paranoya when ya possibly had a anxiety attack from your heart racing im guessing. They coenside so closely together. Paranoid that your heart may explode from the anxiety attack? These are just my opinions. Been there, done that and havent done that in a decade. Straight arrow here.
The problem with smoke of any kind is that other people can smell it and inhale it without their control to avoid it easily. Its why public smoking has been banned is so many public areas and states now. Second hand smoke, etc. They of course use 'your health/my health' reasons now to justify this.
Personally, I beleive alcohol is way worse that marajuana. One can of beer and your drunk. You cant drive leagally. Why do we have bars? When all ya got to do is drink one and take a breathalizer and be considered drunk. Why doesnt the law hang out at bars and throw people in jail one right after the other when they exit the bar? P.I. I think its called. Why do we have the advertisments for it to support it so much? Its because when someone does it, it readily doesnt affect the person next to you with smell or second hand drink! :) Oh ya cant forget they are making a killing from all the imigrants coming into our country.
Budweiser.. Marlboro.. lol
Smoking has been around just as long as drinking has. Mainly pipes from even hundreds to thousands of years ago, blah blah. Even though tobacco or whatever isnt good to inhale, Or alcohol isnt good to drink. Its the chemicals that they put into these items and mass market thats even more worse.

Marijuana isn't as bad as most people think.

Marijuana is a not a gateway drug. This is one of the more persistent myths. A real world example of what happens when marijuana is readily available can be found in Holland. The Dutch partially legalized marijuana in the 1970s. Since then, hard drug use-heroin and cocaine-have DECLINED substantially. If marijuana really were a gateway drug, one would have expected use of hard drugs to have gone up, not down. This apparent "negative gateway" effect has also been observed in the United States. Studies done in the early 1970s showed a negative correlation between use of marijuana and use of alcohol. A 1993 Rand Corporation study that compared drug use in states that had decriminalized marijuana versus those that had not, found that where marijuana was more available-the states that had decriminalized-hard drug abuse as measured by emergency room episodes decreased. In short, what science and actual experience tell us is that marijuana tends to substitute for the much more dangerous hard drugs like alcohol, cocaine, and heroin.

Smoked marijuana contains about the same amount of carcinogens as does an equivalent amount of tobacco. It should be remembered, however, that a heavy tobacco smoker consumes much more tobacco than a heavy marijuana smoker consumes marijuana. This is because smoked tobacco, with a 90% addiction rate, is the most addictive of all drugs while marijuana is less addictive than caffeine. Two other factors are important. The first is that paraphernalia laws directed against marijuana users make it difficult to smoke safely. These laws make water pipes and bongs, which filter some of the carcinogens out of the smoke, illegal and, hence, unavailable. The second is that, if marijuana were legal, it would be more economical to have cannabis drinks like bhang (a traditional drink in the Middle East) or tea which are totally non-carcinogenic. This is in stark contrast with "smokeless" tobacco products like snuff which can cause cancer of the mouth and throat. When all of these facts are taken together, it can be clearly seen that the reverse is true: marijuana is much SAFER than tobacco.

Marijuana "flattens" human brainwaves. This is an out-and-out lie perpetrated by the Partnership for a Drug-Free America. A few years ago, they ran a TV ad that purported to show, first, a normal human brainwave, and second, a flat brainwave from a 14-year-old "on marijuana". When researchers called up the TV networks to complain about this commercial, the Partnership had to pull it from the air. It seems that the Partnership faked the flat "marijuana brainwave". In reality, marijuana has the effect of slightly INCREASING alpha wave activity. Alpha waves are associated with meditative and relaxed states which are, in turn, often associated with human creativity.

Thats just a few facts about marijuana that some people don't know.
