I'm not saying it's impossible, but some dude won 30 times in a row for a million bucks so far.

For a show with lagging ratings which just recently decided not to cut winners off at five sessions...

Just seems a little statistcally unlikely.

Softest 30/60 poker games start around midnight Pacific for some odd reason. I'm a slave to the best odds.

This means what in English?

Besides, I thought you could only win 5 in a row before they essentially kicked you off.

They just changed the 5 in a row rule and now miraculously suddenly someone wins 30 in a row.

The $30/$60 poker games online have the worst players, and hence I make much more money playing in them starting around midnight pacific.

Bored movie stars maybe. Drunk silicon valley engineers. Who knows why?

I started noticing him getting news attention about a week ago.

Today, they were talking about him on Pardon the Interruption (sports talk show), and I thought "wow, this is really getting big." That's when I first thought it might be fixed. They must be getting record high ratings.

Quiz Show was a great movie.

edit: Just for the record, I don't think it's fixed. But the thought definitely entered my mind.

I think that there have been several past winners who would have done just as well or better on there if they hadn't been restricted to five shows. There's one guy I can think of that has been back several times and won the tournament of champions at least twice that I can recall. I think they should have left it at the five wins rule though. I find it more fun to see lots of different people getting money rather than one person getting a ton, but of course, I'm a dem. He seems a nice guy though and wants to donate some money to public television and radio, which is nice.

I've been following this Jeopardy god of which you speak. While I understand where you are coming from, I don't think it's fixed. I mean, he has whipped the tails of 60 people, I think if it was fixed, at least one of them would have made a complaint.

Damn Smash you play 30/60? Please tell me thats play money.

As far as Jeopardy is concerned, I've watched this guy about 9-10 times during his streak and he chimes in really damn fast. Now if its fixed he either has one hell of a memory or they have an earpiece on him giving up the answers.

Yeah, de does chime in really fast, he also gets quite a few answers wrong and his ending scores are rarely amazing. He did tie the record last Friday but most games I saw before that he got around $20,000. You would think that if he was being fed the answers he would be getting more money per game and less answers wrong.

You'd also think that if it was fixed he wouldn't wipe the floor with every person that comes on. Of course he can win $30K every episode but they wouldn't want to make it too obvious if it were fixed.

I don't know if Jeopardy is fixed, but the questions have definitely gotten easier over the years. It used to be pretty hard about 10 years ago, and now, it's like Trivial Pursuit light. Just my Smiley: twocents

I dont think it is fixed either. Also dont think it is any easier. maybe you have gained more knowledge and that is why it seems easier.

That clue crew **** annoys me. They need to nuke that ****.

I watched my first Jeopardy in a while last Friday. I couldn't believe how fast that guy answered all the questions, and about so many random topics. Usually when you watch something like that the people will be very knowledgeable about one or two topics. He seemed to know a ton about everything. Kinda makes me suspect it might be rigged, but no way to really tell.

Maybe he just has an exceptional memory and a fast trigger finger. They DO get study sheets that give them possible targets to bone up on.

Depends how much I play, naturally. My hourly rate average in a 30/60 game is $84.
