Reminded me of A Charlie Brown Christmas:

I don't know what's wrong with people. All the bands you listed there kick ***. I'm a metal head, but they're aren't as many of us around anymore. Now almost everyone's a wigger (in high school, anyway) and it pisses me off.

Meh, not really your place to judge other people's music tastes. Retarded though they may be, they probably think the same towards your music.

Lol...now I have visions of vagabond groups of headbangers in tight *** jeans and bandanas roaming the prairies in search of food. Tears stream from their eyes, but definately they give their hunters the sign of the devil.

OP.

Your music taste sucks. Try listening to something that you'd never hear anywhere else but on your stereo.

Or better yet...make some of your own.

All the first listed bands suck, but I will listen to Metallica. It's not everyones cup of tea, but I still enjoy it. Just because it's hard and loud doesn't mean it is bad. The new Mettalica cd is pretty bad in my opinion, but older Mettalica (And Justice For All..., Kill Em All) is fantastic.

That's not to say I'm a metal head either. I'll often go straight from listening to Metallica to listening to Simon and Garfunkel, Jackson Browne, CCR, Peter Green, Police, Stevie Wonder, Death Cab for Cutie etc... I have a pretty broad taste in music, and although for the most part I am not a fan of hardcore rock, I can't deny my appreciation for Metallica.

As for Slipknot and the others, no matter how hard I try, I can't get myself to enjoy that ****.

Maybe I don't listen to the right radio stations but I've never heard slipknot or static-x on the Radio.

There was a small portion of my life when I liked that type of music, but it passed quickly.

I can still listen to "Dig" by Mudvayne, probably 2 from the two "S" bands.

Metallica is great, or rather was great.

Isn't that like Poison and Motley Crue? Looking back I'm not so sure what was "cool" about guys prancing around in tight jeans with big hair.

Everytime I see slipknot I just laugh because those masks make them look absolutly ridiculous. To each his own in music though. I listen to a lot of indie stuff and a lot of my friends cannot stand it. My top bands are:

The Cure
Sonic Youth
PJ Harvey
Belle and Sebastian
Moloko
TKK
Sleater-Kinney

See? Everyone listen to what Pulse likes and it'll be OK.

Seriously, though...good choices there.

Going to see Camera Obscura tonight and Sonic Youth on Saturday!

Y'all can say that my music taste sucks, but I'm all about heavy metal. I don't go around talking about the devil or cursing people like the common misconception, although i do wear all black and have a morbid personality. The bands listed at the top are good. My tops are:
Cradle of Filth
KMFDM
Mudvayne
Slipknot
Kittie
Katatonia
Otep
Slayer

Tight pants is more like... Judas Priest-y, or Axl Rose. Not that I have anything against them, but mostly tight pants are only found in Classic Metal, ie Alice Cooper, Poison, GNR, etc.

Soundgarden and the Beatles are the only good bands in there.

*Puts up the rock fist*

Old school metallica was hardcore. but the other bands seem like they are pale high school versions of Cannibal Corpse, Fear Factory, and Diecide. Yeah, you want hardcore deathmetal, Diecide is they way to go.

Alright, try this.. pick up a bass or a pair of drumsticks and play me a mudvayne song. Learn programming well enough to do a Static-X song, and get a group of 9 musicians together who all have the same mindset long enough to even cover a slipknot song.
Pick up a guitar and play me some sweeps and scales and learn advanced strumming patterns well enough to pull off Disposable Heros by Metallica. Then talk **** all you want. Far as i'm concerned, anyone who just hears a metal band's name and listens to it for 30 seconds, i cant give that person any credit or crediblity.

And here's something awe inspiring for you... i've heard all 4 of those bands on the radio in the last month.

A while back I borrowed some CDs of the bands mentioned from the "Angry Youth" down the street.

I just don't see how it would take nine people to create that sound.

I saw Les Paul a little over a year ago. I'm guessing that, given the pedals, synths, etc. that some of those bands use, Les Paul's backup band could learn any of these songs in a day or so. They'd look pretty damn stately playing them too. ;)

Every one knows you should only listen to:

Kenny G

Raffi

Any and all forms of Jesus rock

Muzac

If you listen to anything else may your liberal, psuedo soul rot in hell for all eternity.
