We dont care how you prefer to die because we didnt even know you existed.

Which brings me to the question: Who are you?

Around here you'd be surprised.

I can't imagine the build up to that point is all that much fun, though.

Great, another ******. Fallacy. If that were true, you'd have a lot more dead skydivers now wouldn't you? It's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop at the end.

I thought of another one since dog hates me and I won't get my redheaded twins:

Hit in the head by a giant chunk of frozen shit that was accidently ejected from an airplane.

Yeah, unless you're flash frozen in liquid nitrogen (in which case you're not drifting off to a warm anything), freezing to death involves a lot of being really cold and miserable.

Uhh...dan...no thats not true. For one thing sky divers are prepared for the fall, they have parachutes that they use very soon after the jump, etc. etc. If you were just jumping off the building eventually the shock of just grabbing air and being scared more than you could possibly imagine(even if you could grab something from that height and speed your arm would tear off) they would die before hitting the ground

Please explain, as I don't understand this. What shock?

Someone else asked the same question as me.

Your response is wrong. HALO jumps would be impossible. Human beings can easily reach terminal velocity and be fine pulling the chute.

Someone might die before impact from shock, but not everyone is going to die from the shock. I'd say a lot more people would die from the 100 or so G's they'd sustain as flesh and bone met concrete.

Yes, quite true. In fact, threre's a guy who damn near broke the sound barrier(or possibly did, nobody's sure), that's just a bit over 700 mph (the exact number refuses to stick in my head) by jumping from a hot air balloon at the very edge of the atmosphere.

Google up Colonel Joe Kittinger if you're impressed by this sort of thing.

Then there's people who fell out of airplanes without the benefit of a parachute and survived. I'm pretty sure they didn't see it coming. I'm not doing your research for you so look them up yourself if you don't want to take my word on it.

At most you're going to pass out from shock on the way down.
I'd be more than happy to have you guinea pig this if only we could find a real medium to ask you at which point in your descent you actually croaked.

Though if I'm being executed, I need a guillotine and a trebuchet. See, I've read that if you're decapitated your head stays alive for a little while. So, I would have my head lopped off and the basket of the trebuchet positioned that my torsoless head fell into it. Then they launch it. It'd be an intersting way to spend my last few seconds I think.

LOL thats pretty damn funny.

I would like to die from a disease because once I knew I had only a little while to live I wuld go on the biggest crime rampage in the world cuz then if I went to jail I would just die in a few weeks or months. But if the disease is gonna take awhile to do me in I would die trying to wrestle invisble grizzly bears. LONG LIVE FAMILY GUY

There's a difference between a skydiver with a parachute, and a diver without one. One faces almost certain death, while the other is quite expecting to live. That said, imminent death is entirely capable of inducing shock; however, I highly doubt one would have the chance to do anything other than pass out from it before smacking into the ground.

In other words, it will be the ground that ends your life, but you'll lose consciousness long before then.

Have any of you actually sky-dived? They are right the ground will kill you.

What is the difference of jumping out of a airplane or jumping off the building? The speed and the distance to the ground that is just about it. There are other factors that play also. But the ground kills you, not the air. Unless it is really really sudden change in Air Pressure.

Now, I would like to die in a bed, asleep. Why? Because all the other ways are painful and I don't enjoy pain, that much.

The other way would be, suddenly dieing from a invasion of giant alien jolly ranchers.

So how would anyone actually know you drift into a warm, painless sleep before you die?

I would perfer to die by the guillotine, looks quick and painless.
