The onslaught of the FFXI poster has brought us d1ck and fart jokes a plenty where we were once fortunate enough to be limited to the queen.

I am not sure why this phenomenon exists with FF players. I'll admit FF is the first MMORPG I have ever played and the game is full of little whiney teenage pussies. Despite this, I enjoy playing the game because most of the people that tend to stick with it are a bit more mature. On the other hand I am a 29 year old accountant heading off to grad school in the winter and I like to believe that everything I post is not total crap. I can take an insult as well as the next guy and find it rather amusing. In fact I don't belive I have received my fair share of insults on this board yet .
On another note, I really enjoy the subject matter here as it makes my 10-12 hour work days a lot easier (number crunching doesn't really have its moments). But back to the original point, I really wish i knew why there are so many little ******* festering in the FF world.

My query from the sockpuppet thread. I wonder?

I hate to say it, but I feel that the release of the game on PS2, played a major part in that.

My question is, did the same problem occour with the release of EQOA?

Not for the most part. We have up until recently chased anyone out of here who was underaged. It's usually easy to tell how young they are by their grasp of some of the more difficult or esoteric subjects. Then, once singled out, a massive gangbang provided the motivation for them not to ever come back. Only the very hardy survived.

Now? Well, the culling process is so diluted from the vast number of those FFXIers, that it's like swatting mosquitos in Minnesota in the middle of July-- an utter waste of energy since there is ten of them to replace the one you just killed.

Is it so much to ask that you call them new instead of "FFXIers"?

I used to play EQ for a while, by all means nothing to brag about,
But I didn't start using the forums, untill I started FFXI.

I have noticed that since the release on PS2, there are MANY more idiotic posts. Not that there wasn't the ocational Pre-schooler that posted once or twice, but it was rarer.

Now, IMO the forums have taken a massave nose-dive in content. It only makes sence, that some of it would spill over into here.

The way to cure this generalization, unfortunatly, is to have more intelegent posts by FFXI players.

But, that is a battle, for another time, perhaps

I almost prefer the Morans to the Comic Book Store Guy know-it-all rate downers.

They drove me here...not the idiot kids.

Well, we could always start by spelling intelligent correctly, but that's neither here nor there. There are some quality posters who happen to play FFXI.

Correct Sir,

You forgot to mention my mis-spelling of massive, as well.

Spelling aside, I was refering to the overall content being intelligent

I didn't want to be too rough on you, as it's obvious you're an asylum virgin. Either way, you failed on both counts. All I'm saying is I hear whining all the time about FFXI posters and how they are responsible for all the ****** sockpuppetry. The fact is, none of you so called veterans have anything to say either, and with the exception of a few people here, you EQ posters , or whatever the hell game it is you people play, are no better. If your claim to fame is you've been here longer or you play a game that looks like it belongs on the 2600, then you seriously have no grounds for turning up your noses.

This was actually the point I was trying to make.

Maybe just the idiots stick in our minds, more than the competent ones.

Either way,
I do henceforth apologise, for any mis-spelled words.
I agree they do seem to diminish the quality of a post.

I am indeed "new" to The Asylum. However, odds are, I won't go f'uck myself.

If they had named it something besides final fantasy, maybe the insipid asshat/whiney lil' bitch/too lazy to spell the word you/pubert l33t gamer percentage of the population would be lower.

I dunno though, I'm hoping that when the newer mmporpgs come out they'll migrate off my server and annoy the shit out of other people. Though I'm sure we'll still have to put up with them here cause they'll get a forum. At least then it'll be WoW morans that get dissed so much

Actually let me rephrase. That gave you a link to Moebius' profile then brought you here right?
