Japanese Laker girlsFollow

I was just watching CNN sports and they were talking about how the Laker management has traveled to Japan to find more cheerleaders, presumably to broaden their ethnic base. They showed highlights of the tryouts and then of the two girls who were selected to the team. Then the camera panned over to the crying girls not picked when my imagination kicked into high gear.

I pictured the dishonored Nipponese cheerleaders kneeling in the corner on their tatami mats, short swords in the hands, impaling themselves at the disgrace they brought upon their families. A Laker official sees what is happening, runs over to them exclaiming, "No no no nononono! You all can be Laker girls! It's ok, put the knives down!" The relieved cheerleaders begin crying hysterically in joy, start bowing profusely, screaming, "Arigato! Arigato, Laker-san!"

Totem. I'm reasonably sure that the bylaws of the forum specifically state that you can't have a thread entitled "Japanese Laker Girls" without a link to some pics (preferrably to actual Japanese Laker Girls).

Consider this a formal reprimand. 25 demerits as well.

Ok, here's the pics.

You may be disappointed, though.

You're right I was dissapointed assuming the two in the pic below where the winners. They definitely aren't the best looking of the group.

My apologies to the board for the blatent disregard for one of the oldest rules of the board. And my most sincere thanks to Jindo for picking up where I left off.

I would have liked to have been a part of the Lakers selection committee. The girls who won, were certainly not the best looking, so it must have had to do with their "attitude".

I love you long time. Smiley: wink

Actually, Totem, I think your instinct served you well. The thread was much more exciting when all we had were our imaginations to pciture the Japanese Laker girls.

Am I the only one surprised by the two blonde girls sitting in the front row of that picture? They are obviously not Japanese. They do, however, put the rest of the competition in perspective.

I see I am not the only one spoofed by the server's slowness. I went nucking futs on the alternate Last thread. And I think I'm gonna get my pee-pee whacked because of it.

It was good. Not sure it was worth the tripple though.

The above mentioned link sucks ***.
http://www.nba.com/japan/040705_lakergirls_audition.html works better

Edit: On reflection, the links both look the same. So why the hell did the one above not work, forcing me to go to nba.com/japan, and click on the story?

Pretty sure the blonde girls were the dance team leaders. They would have taught the routines and led the audition. They are probably already Laker girls, if not past ones.

that is a probability flea, but you must also realize the japanese have a thing for blondes and there are blondes that go to asian countries to make money and live the good life, they may have been looking for a ride home or be part of the japanese cheerleader squad. just thought i'd throw that in. heck the two blondes may not even be american, they could be looking at the cheerleader opportunity for their ticket to the big walmart.

If you look at the sweatsuits the blondes have on they are the same. So the two blondes and the short hair in between them are probably what Flea said they are. Paying attention to detail can be your friend.

Having lived in Japan myself for a while I can say I really wish I would have been on the "Selection" comittee. All I can say is Tight and screaming.
