Well, I take that back. Apparently there's some Asian lions still kicking around in India. Less than a hundred, but they're there.

These animals are not going anywhere else because they are already out of their enviroment and they will never be able to conform if they are released into the wild.

As weird as it sounds, it's a respect thing. Regardless of the fact they are no longer in their natural habitat, who are we to decide to remove all instinct by cohabitating what would be predator and prey.

Well, it makes animal activists happy, I suppose, and keeps them doing stuff like this.
