Ahhh! Please leave me alone Jehova's WitnessesFollow

For 14 years I have been living down the street from a Kingdom Hall and for 14 years I have been a calm, patient, tolerant man, but today that has all changed.

While mowing my lawn, two Witnesses thought that it would be okay to walk into my backyard and bother me to make a donation to their church. Soliciting is rude in general, but does their religion teach any manners?

God can save souls, but he cant save toes when I accidentally mow too close to a foot.

They need to leave me alone because if they ever happened to convert me and save my soul, then I would promptly be damned again after I shoot myself for peddling religous pamphlets on uninterested people.

Put up a sign that says "No Trespassing." That way anything you do is nice and legal...Smiley: sly

Lol. The OP made the somewhat obvious connection to the fact that there are multiple game sites at Alla's. Depending on how you access the forums, the look and style is different. Also, depending on how you access the site, you get different links in the "Forums..." section to the left (see! Look to the left).

Those of us who access the site from the EQ POV see Main EQ forum, Quest Forum, OOT, and Asylum. Presumably, all but the last two are different if you access it from a different game path.

I think it just suddenly dawned on the OP that the OOT and Asylum links in the FFXI form were not "special" ones just for FFXI players, but were in commmon across all games.

Should have been obvious. Certainly didn't need a thread about it. Then again, if he didn't know, maybe others never caught on either, and maybe they'll read this and realize that they really shouldn't post stuff bout their particular game here.

Probably wont make any different though.

That's like the longest sig I've ever seen Becker. If you inform everyone, how are we supposed to pick on people?

Haha, I have a Kingdom Hall right across the street from my place, too. My neighbors next door are also Witnesses; 4 guys living in the same apt with the white shirts and the bicycle helmets and everything. When they first moved in, they obviously decided my family was much in need of saving because they used to come over every Saturday morning without fail until my fiance threatened to call the police on them for harrassment -- we're day sleepers and he didn't appreciate being awakened in the middle of his 'night.'

We haven't been bothered much since I put up my "Religious solicitors will be cooked and eaten" sign, though.

It's Mormans that ride bikes, wear white shirts and live together. I think personally it's alittle gay to have that many guys living together. The kids that are mormans and live together do 2 years of "missionary" service and then they have the church pay for their college.

I used to have that problem until a very fateful day. I had duty the previous night from 2300-0700 and naturally came home and went to bed. Well around 1130-1200 some JW's came and rang my doorbell. Well thinking it was my Fiance who had left her house key I came and opened the door. To my surprise there were 2 JW's akwardly staring at my crotch. Needless to say I had a good case of the "Morning Wood" and I haven't seen them since.

Twizid, you're back!

"Mormans?" Did you mean Morans?

Or was it a Freudian slip and you just want "More Man" in your life?

Ummmm have you ever been to Utah...I can't walk home from school with out being pounced upon by mormon missionaries. They put a temple at ever corner and next to every school (yes even elemtary). When you turn 18 and your a mormon they thrust you out of your home and ship you to a different country/state for two years and they ALL do it. Also its the greatet rising religon in the u.s. so get ready for the mormon wave and be ready to run.

Answering the door naked works, usually. Also, my roomate pulled out a skull he "borrowed" from anatomy class in college. He sat there petting it and talking to it while I was chatting with the folks at the door. It took them a few minutes to realise what he was doing. They made a prompt departure after they saw it.

My wife's dog was a gentle, peaceful creature. He was a Newfoundland so he was roughly the size of a St. Bernard. He was a great dog with children in that he had his own special sense of danger which would go off if the kids did anything like fight with sticks or even swing too high on the swing. Only one thing raised his ire: the Jehova's Witnesses.

I knew two families of Jehova's Witnesses growing up and both were great people, but I can't justify bothering people: everybody knows about the Bible. We all have had our chance. If we get tossed into a lake of fire by God you can't say we weren't forewarned.

I do take the literature they pass out. I read it. I agree with some, disagree with some, but since religion these days doesn't seem to actually involve thinking I'm not impressed. Look back in history and you'll see what I mean.

Lies. I was raised in Utah. The buildings near the schools are seminary buildings, they are only near select high schools. Granted there are a lot of churches, but, go to Rome and I imagine you'll probably see a lot of Catholic churches right? It's at age 19 you leave on a mission.( I know I served one.) And not everyone serves. I have a younger brother who refuses to. Its some thing you pay for out of your own pocket. And as for the church paying for college, if thats the case, what the hell am I doing in Maryland paying out the *** for school?

Speaking of crazy mormons in white shirts and bicycle helmets, has anybody else seems the movie Orgasmo? A mormon bible salesman walks onto the set of a porno shoot, kicks the **** out of the cast, then takes up the lead role. Classic stuff!

Here's the deal.I too have suffered from these spawn of god and all the is great.(YEAH)I recently moved back to VA,(roanoke). Here in this town of goodness,we have an infestation of Witnesses. After a month of my new home,I got a knock on the door. There were some guys in dress shirts with free good and such. The problem was the free goods were eternal life and salvation, and they weren't free.I had to do somethign called praying! Can you believe that!?Anyway,I was like"Umm ,yeah sure gimme a bible"BIGGEST MISTAKE EVERE! Once you accept the bible they return all thr freaking time.Month after month they sent holy tropps in teh name of peace and goodness. Finally,I had an idea. The next time they came,I opened the door and was prepared.I was playing an old Slayyer album, and drew an upsidedown cross on my forehead.I told tehn to go to hell,I had joined Satan's mighty army of evil. They mumbled some **** and quickly regrouped at a church or office far away.

Its funny when people generalize Jehova's Witnesses and Mormons like this. You make it sound like they are afraid of you now. I bet they just think that you are a dumbass.

They probably sit around telling each other the about the ****** up people who will do the strangest things in order to keep them away when all that it takes is a polite "Can you please leave me alone?"

Time to start dropping by their church every week, preferrably during services, and trying to convert people to the religion of your choice.
