I remembered Smash mentioning he wished to be thought of as the Noam Chomsky of this board when I read this. Gbaji, you should get a good laugh out of this story of a bright young man thinking for himself and the reaction of our enlightened educators when he does so.

Funny stuff.

Chomsky's a genius, in the Mozzart sense of the word. you can disagree with him, and you might be right, but you have to give him credit for raw intelect.

Huh. I read that and immediately thought "Well, this is stupid". Probably because, when I went to school, anything hung up on the walls without the magical school stamp on it was taken down and thrown away without prejudice by the janitors. Pro-War, Anti-War, Posters about how nice flowers and puppies were, etc. If it wasn't stamped by the front office, it was junk.

I read this and thought that the kid had a lot of gumption to stand up and make his voice heard, but he has a lot to learn about journalistic integrity, logical fallacy, and generalization himself.

Nah, he'll fit right into the conservative movement. You need lacks of journalistic integrity, logical reasoning, and nuance to fit in.

Being able to make yourself look like a flawless picture of logic, reason, and intellect doesn’t seem like all that rare a gift among people who make websites about themselves.

But it did make me laugh.
