Okay. I've had enough of this splitting beliefs about God and homosexuality down political lines. There are plenty of God fearing, born again Christians that are Democrats that do not sing the same songs that "many do". What gives you the right to say what many people think. Prove that Gay Marriage is truly an idea that only conservatives think is wrong. Come on now, prove to me that John Kerry is 100% for Gay Marriage. He is your champion, I want to see the proof.

But let me help you out here:

Quote:
Presidential candidate John F. Kerry said yesterday that he supports amending the Massachusetts Constitution to ban gay marriage and provide for civil unions for gay couples.

Kerry for Gay Marriage NOT!

"Despite growing support for the controversial proposal and their party's platform plank endorsing it," the Post said, both New York senators, Democrats Charles Schumer and Hillary Rodham Clinton, "oppose granting marriage rights to gays."

Hillary is not for Gay Marriage

Quote:
Find some way for civic union; but not gay marriage
Q: What is your position on gay marriage?
BUSH: I’m not for gay marriage. I think marriage is a sacred institution between a man and a woman. I appreciated the way the administration signed the Defense of Marriage Act. I presume the vice president supported it.

GORE: I agree with that, and I did support that law. But I think that we should find a way to allow some kind of civic unions. And I basically agree with **** Cheney and Joe Lieberman, and I think the three of us have one view and the governor has another view.

I'm curious what you are referring to. Do you mean defending the U.S. from Iraq? A country that we attacked pre-emptively? The same Iraq that didn't have any chemical weapons hordes, or nuclear weapons, like our good 'ole Bush Admin. said they did? (But they sure did have a whole lot of oil fields for us to defend).

Actually what I meant was to keep radical muslims from flying planes into our buildings and killing people.

Also I like the argument that no weapons of mass destruction have been found in Iraq. Look up what serine gas can do and picture a U.S. city being hit with it. And yes they've found enough serine to cause a major catastrophe in the U.S. So the whole no weapons of mass destruction argument is bunk.

What has UN done to protect the citizens of the U.S.?

They found enough sarin gas to cause a major catastrophe?

When was this??

By the way, you or I could make Sarin gas in a bathtub in about three hours. It's not exactly VX.

I didn't say "All conservatives are anti-gay" or "All liberals are pro-gay." But it IS a general trend.

Scripps Howard News Service May 17 2004
Saddam Hussein admitted he produced between 790 and 812 tons of sarin. But much of the early production of the chemical was contaminated and incapable of being stored for long periods. The United Nations destroyed 70 tons of Iraq's sarin stockpile from 1992 to 1994.

Now lets see how good our math is. If Saddam produced close to 800 million tons of it and only 70 tons have been confirmed to have been destroyed by the un the that leaves only 730million tons left unaccounted for.

Oh I know Saddam in some unprecedented act of humane benevolence decided to destroy the other 730 million tons of his own accord.

The internet is truly a wonderful and enlightening tool

Well people shouldn't be making statements without proof.

Quote:
The majority of Americans support an amendment to the country's constitution that will bar same sex marriage, according to a new poll.

The New York Times and CBS News poll reveals that 55% of the country's population back President Bush's plans to introduce the amendment and limit marriage to "one woman and one man".

In comparison 40% oppose the idea of an amendment, which would need backing by the majority of the country's politicians.

Surprisingly, the results do not depend on political affiliation - more liberal democrats favour the amendment - but more on how marriage is viewed, either as a religious sacrament or an emotional bond.

Many does not mean Majority. It means a large, indefinite number. I'd say 40% is a large number.

People shouldn't be replying without paying attention to the words written.

How did we go from 790-812 tons to 800 MILLION tons?

This could account for the remaining stores of sarin, but really the statement is too vague to draw any conclusion, one way or another.

No. You implied that a majority (more than conservatives) view gay marriage as being moral. You led the reader to make an assumption that conservatives are in the minority view that gay marriage is immoral.

Despite what I implied, the original point of the statement was that people have different views on the issue, and therefore "morality" is indeed subjective.

Would you support a Constitutional Amendment banning Gay Marriage?

Democratic Candidates for Senate: 0 yeahs, 7 nays

Republican Candidates for Senate: 8 yeahs, 0 nays

So people must be getting these party-line trends from somewhere.

If the last election was any indication, the population is pretty evenly split. I've never heard of any conservatives being pro-gay marriage, but what the hell, lets say even 10% support it, making 5% of the total population. That leaves 35% of the total population, and 70% that atleast vote for liberal candidates support gay marriage rights. I'd say that constitutes "many".

This one loses something in the translation. - I hope someone can make some sense of gibberish. Kelv where are you at?

Back on topic. Stern has a right to spew his filth across the airwaves, and he has a broad listening base. But if Stern is bashed from the right, where does that leave Mancow?
