I have heard criticisms from both sides about the pro's and con's to us being in the mid-east.

What I want to know is what should be done about the current situation...bear in mind that radical muslims are on the attack.

Koalas are not even bears, they are marsupials.

Brear Bear from Song of the South. I like to go to Disneyland and visit him on Spalsh Mountain.

There is a little bit of a debate if the Panda is more Bear or more Racoon.

Its been classified as bear for long time but now they are starting to think its more Racoon than bear.

Scientists like to debate so there we go.

The tought that perhaps pandas were not always classified as bears did cross my mind.

But they're the cutest, so I have to stick with them.

The current problem in the Middle East is probably beyond repair, as much as I hate to admit a defeat it is time to do so. We need to withdraw and do what the current administration has neglected for so long and actually fund the fight against terror rather then put a big ******* bulleye on ourseleves and our allies and say terrorists strike here.
#14 Jun 29 2004 at 4:58 PM Rating: Decent
If you havn't noticed the terrorists have been striking only no one has paid attention until now when we've actually taken the fight to the mid east.

examples... the cole, the first twin towers bombing, the train bombing in spain, the czhechian (bah spell check couldn't help me) rebels in russia, and good lord look at israel and the list goes on all the back into the 80's. The attacks have increasingly become more bold.

So we should fund terrorists to fight terrorists and get our so-called allies to help fund this so we can avoid making ourselves a target to further enrage these radicals?

p.s. i like how the local board dems responded to this post but that is to be expected when actually trying to deal with an issue rather than rant.

We took the fight to a country unreallated to terrorist attacks, and gave a huge amount of money to the country most responsible for them.

That'll show em!

And by unrelated you mean having open meetings with known taliban and al quada agents on a consistent basis right?

Oh and the 911 commission did find that there were connections between saddam and al quada just nothing to indicate iraq directly participated in 911. I know they were just discussing what to do the goaly if they lost a soccer game.

We had Taliban represenatives on a tour of the US in 2000. Does that mean we're behind it?

By unrelated, I mean un re fuc[/b]king lated.

As in no evidence of any ties, no proof of any relation, nothing

Unrelated.

Understand yet?

Look, believe whatever you'd like. The facts clearly aren't going to stand in your way. Lack of evidence is the same as a smoking gun now. Let's send people to invade countries and die over it.

You need to join the military and have someone shoot an inch from your head so you can understand the importance of having actual evidence.

Just a point here Smash. You are arguing a semantic issue. It's not about who is "related to terrorist attacks".

I assume you are talking about Iraq being "unrelated to terrorist attacks", and Saudi Arabia being "most responsible for them".

Let's take what the administration is really doing:

They are targeting the country most likely to sponsor and supply terrorists in their attacks. And are aiding the nation least likely to sponsor and supply said terrorists.

Ever notice that while there are a lot of Saudi terrorists nationaliaty wise, they always tend to move to nations like Iraq and Afghanistan and Libya to actually conduct their terrorist operations? The nationality is not the issue here. It's a matter of stopping nations who have *openly* supported terrorist groups. Iraq certainly fit that description to a tee.
