I often wake up and continue on thinking that I'm in my dream.

how do you know you're not??

But then again how do you know you're not just in some rooms somwhere with a chip in your head telling you everything you see..

There is no way of really knowing..

so I guess the best thing to do is waht most people do and just don't think about..

Actually science CAN explain everything. just not OUR science in it's CURRENT state. as for everything makeing sense ... well I've yet to find ANYTHING that really makes sense.

as for whether or not I believe in ghosts ... depends what you mean by ghosts.

That's like asking scientists of the 18th century to explain quantum physics.

Ok, here's my limited experience with the 'supernatural.'

I'll preface this by saying that for most things I must see them to believe them. It doesn't matter if it's mildly incredible such as someone claiming to run very fast or a buddy telling me how big a fish was. Show me. I won't throw the BS flag unless I know it's BS. But that doesn't make me a believer, either. It usually just means that I'm thinking 'BS' and am being polite by not saying it.

About 16 years ago, I began experiencing flying and floating dreams. Most people would find these exhilirating, but not I. I was terrified of heights. Anything higher up than 6 feet would make me giddy. It even made deer hunting a chore because I wouldn't use a stand unless it was rock-solid and three times the size it should be. Every single night I would have these dreams of flying around, Peter-Pan style. If I wasn't flying, I was floating away from the ground and unable to control myself.

I went around for 6 months with bruises on my knuckles. I didn't even pay them much attention until my parents found me asleep, spread-eagled and tightly grasping my mattress. They even poked fun at me until it got to be an old joke. One morning, I woke up and I was actually floating in air. My face was no more than a foot from the ceiling. Then I fell flat on my ***. I broke one of the slats under my bed when I landed.

I yelled. I freaked. My mom threw the BS flag. I calmed down. But I did not forget. I know what I saw and experienced.

Over the course of the next month, the dreams became less vivid and less frequent. I haven't had one that I recall in over 5 years now and never since have I awoken in any position other than firmly upon whatever I'm supposed to be on (unless you count rolling off the couch or the girl.)

Incidentally, my fear of heights also has faded dramatically. I even do stupid things like walk out on a beam 30 feet off the floor....but only if necessary.

Oh, I once also saw the sky completely light up brighter than daylight at 2:30 AM. It stayed that way for over a minute. There was a small story in the newspaper the next day about a meteor landing in Tennessee. Weird **** does get explained most of the time.

Precisely. Take a computer back 200 years and you would be called a wizard/demon worshiper/etc. That's exactly what I meant by our science in it's current state. There are thing we can't explain but, by the very nature of science, EVERYTHING can be explained scientifically. The "Paranormal" is simply things we don't have enough data on to explain satisfactorily.

hehe,

I'm the "computer guy" at my job..

I go around and explain to people waht they don't understand. I speak to them of a world of which many of them speculate about, yet none truly know... but me. I solve the issues that they have with it..even if they don't understand the issue themselves...
So if this were a tribal settlement I'd be the High Priest.
I can Dig it.

Do you Believe in Ghosts?

No, BUT....

Do you believe in magic in a young girl's heart
How the music can free her, whenever it starts
And it's magic, if the music is groovy
It makes you feel happy like an old-time movie
I'll tell you about the magic, and it'll free your soul
But it's like trying to tell a stranger 'bout rock and roll

If you believe in magic don't bother to choose
If it's jug band music or rhythm and blues
Just go and listen it'll start with a smile
It won't wipe off your face no matter how hard you try
Your feet start tapping and you can't seem to find
How you got there, so just blow your mind

If you believe in magic, come along with me
We'll dance until morning 'til there's just you and me
And maybe, if the music is right
I'll meet you tomorrow, sort of late at night
And we'll go dancing, baby, then you'll see
How the magic's in the music and the music's in me

Yeah, do you believe in magic
Yeah, believe in the magic of a young girl's soul
Believe in the magic of rock and roll
Believe in the magic that can set you free
Ohh, talking 'bout magic

Do you believe like I believe Do you believe in magic
Do you believe like I believe Do you believe, believer
Do you believe like I believe Do you believe in magic

Not at the moment. I'm back in college studying animation and game scripting and working at Macromedia for the ducats.

I used to be in a band called the Minstrels. There were former members of Brian Jonestown Massacre and Friends of Dean Martinez in it. Kinda of a French Pop psyche group.

Oh, btw there is a documentary coming out that does a good job of showing what our scene is/was about. Kinda weird having a movie with all your friends/ex-bandmates in it.

Been there. Ska is cool. But I really only listen to rock steady now. I don't likey the whitey ska too much.

My band wasn't exactly like the Dandys...but they are friends.
