A major corporation announced another 1,100 layoffs in July after laying off 22,000 people over the last 2.5 years. According to my sources the current employees at this corporation are extremely over worked even though they have out sourced a good number of positions to a technology company. Also some of the previous laid off people have been out of work for 2 years plus. The market is over saturated and an abundance of small businesses are cropping up all over the country both in IT related fields and unrelated industries. Now the kicker is, when the major company out sourced to the IT company the IT company only promised it's "transfered" employees a job for one year. Which in one years time may mean additional lay offs in the thousands.

My question to you is... what would you do if you where one of the ones being laid of in July?

I would look at it as a "growth opportunity" to expand into "innovative new fields" such as "hamburger manufacturing".

Or else move to Calcutta and get my old job back.

See I started a topic that was non politicl nor scatology and that is your input. Then you wonder why poltical, religion and other social issues that are inflamatory are discussed to a gnats *** detail here? Anything else and it is not of much interest.

It's more to do with the fact that anyone who wants to debate an honest opinion does not bother to read a thread started by an unknown. Why? Because 90% of unknown posters post the moronic "pp fetish" posts, unless it's started by Skeet anyway.

By the way this thread can be defined as a social and/or political thread depending on where it goes.

We're in a western world of Capitalism, and the Eastern world is slowly following suit. Those with Money are heard and listened to far more then the majority without. Democracy is a guideline that the west claim to follow yet none quite clearly do. Why pay Americans Dollars when you can pay Third world countries to get their children to do it for cents, Nike ring any bells!?!
The world's people are controlled by propoganda media that will stop at nothing to control our young. Unions are laughed at in the boardrooms, just as they are in court. The only hope is that the few can someday turn around the brainwashed majority to think for themselves.
Truth is People are afraid of dramatic change, and therefore the Truth is brushed under the carpet. Radical changes are needed but people fear the radical man.
