Why is it that there are so many Fords out there that get 8 Miles to the gallon and look like tanks. I hate these people, they get out of there excursion with a 2' lift and think their "bad ***". Their so Dumb! So now you have this drunk ******* driving drunk in a Tank killing everyone in a normal car.

Oh ya Camaro's are the worst car in the world. I'd rather drive a Yugo, knowing that I drive a piece of ****. Rather then driving a piece of **** and thinking it's not.

Did someone run into your Camaro with their big tank Ford?

Or are we just cranky today?
#3 Jun 17 2004 at 10:39 AM Rating: Decent
Just cranky and sleep deprived. And I have neither a Ford or Camero. Now that I think of it Cranky because of sleep deprivation.

There's a second year at my school that drives a Hum-Vee.

What the hell does he need with a Hum-Vee? He doesn't go off road. By virtue of being a vet-student, he officially has no life outside of school! It's a fact. We have to sign a statement saying so.

So, why does he take up one and a half spots in our already cramped parking lot with a gas-guzzling off-road military-style vehicle?

Because he's a rich spoiled brat. :) (Well, dunno about the spoiled or brat part, but he did buy all.. all of his first semester books, even the "recommended reading".. not "required reading"... and that was over 4k by itself. And he owns a hum-vee. So he is rich. And rich people can do what they want, right? :P )

Another doubling of the price of gas should solve this issue.

Actually, theres no reason all non-commercial vehicles should get any less then 40 miles to the gallon, but politicians never get between voters and their cars - at least not in California.

I would say a modest requirement on weight, height of the center of mass of the car off the ground, and bumper alignment should solve all these problems. Sure, you can get a Ford Brontasarus but you have to get a commercial driver's lisence (there are multiple classes of them: I don't mean an 18 wheeler lisence). I don't think it is unreasonable to expect people who buy huge vehicles to actually be tested in driving them.
#6 Jun 17 2004 at 1:36 PM Rating: Decent
That really is a great idea. Make them get a B class license, certified for commercial vehicals. With a B-Class license you cant drink an ounce and drive and if you get one traffice violation you get bumped to C-Class i know my friend drives a food vendor truck and he's got one.

I would love to see Navy Seals over in Iraq get out of a new Hum-Vee with so ridiculious wheels and maybe alittle BLING BLING. Its just a statement that says I have money to blow. Who take a new Hummer out off roading? No one.

It's part of our culture to be excessive.

We should replace the American Eagle with a Ford Expedition.

If you hate big cars come to England, petrol here is well over $3 dollars a gallon, we've even taken lanes from our roads and made them into bike lanes. I'm expecting the chinese scooter plan to Hit London very soon.
Its more then likely costs more to run an VW beetle here then it does to run a Ferrari in the states, Damn you guys get it good.
My grandmother was a New Yorker and coming to the states next year, hope i'm making the right move.

Yeah, well over. Are you really in the UK at all?

It's about $7 a gallon in the UK.

Maybe. Yo'd assume that he'd just use the pound symbol that's on every UK keyboard in the world then, but whatever.
