Its sad..I wanna post an insult so bad...I hate EQ...but the best I can think of is all the EQ players I've ever met smelled funny and spittled on themselves while they talk.

On the other hand, FFXI players own. ^^

Here come the posts that yell at me for not being original or creative...

as for sacraficing myself done it plenty of times, we do in EQ.

Is "sacrificing" yourself what you call it when you get horribly owned? If that's the case, I'm sure you "sacrifice" yourself all the time. Now go take a shower and wipe the spittle off your chin.

Trust me, we FFXI (previously Asheron's Call) players know how much you smell. And it ain't pleasant.

Everquest is...

Ok, Everquest is to MMORPGs as...

AOL is to the internet
Bill Gates is to Rich people
Pop is to music
Bush is to a president
France is to a country
Ramen is to food

By that, I mean, sure. It's popular... but...

Its alright guys let the little FFXI'ers have there fun thinking there better then us. If we wanted to we could flatten them into the ground but we wont waste our time since we do it everytime they bring this up but apparently they dont get the idea.

EQ need's no invite, we can just take control.

I have nothing against FFXI, it gives the less capable Onliners a chance to win. EQ can be too daunting for them. So we need FFXI.

No doubt the Children of FFXI will send come backs, but their words are trivial to the giant that is EQ.

So send your Insults oh lesser ones, then Crawl back to the den of depravity you came from.

I look back at the great people of history who never carried a gun like Martin Luther King, yet met their fate to a coward behind one. Nice saying Steinhound. The ones that don't understand it are more then likely FFXI players.

When the average age of your player base is 12 1/2, it's not terribly difficult to shoot verbal projectiles over their heads repeatedly. Yes, I'm talking about you, FFXIers.

Don't bash the kiddies too hard.

P.S. If your natural urge is to post that I'm wrong because you're 23 and playing FFXI, you may want to curb it as FFXI posts overwhelmingly sound like they're made by 12 1/2 year olds.

Well, being semi-neutral, I have to say that I played lots of the playstation FF games prior to FFXI coming out. I loved them all. I had never played any online games before and knew two people that played EQ. They finally conviced me to sign up. I played EQ for about a month, then broke down and convinced my hubby to by FFXI for me too since I loved the previous games and EQ as an online game so much. I have to say FFXI sucked royally in comparison to EQ. I played it one night for 4 hours and have not touched it since. I personally think that EQ graphics are better and that the game in general is easier to play/learn. I was thoroughly disappointed in FFXI. IMHO...

I totally agree M'lady, the FF station games are some of the best i've ever played. However I think that is the problem, FXII Promoted the game Hugely and had every avid FF fan sitting at the letter box for their Pre-order. So much hype, and such a high standard to keep up, no matter how good FFXI was going to be people were going to be let down by it.
I'm one of the rare FF players as my Favourite was FFVIII, FFX2 was great graphics, especially the song a thousand words, Master piece, and i believe a hit in Japan. One thing is for sure Yuna would kick Britney spears, Christina and pinks ***!
EQ is definately the better fun, but i think the social climate has alot to do with it, i've made many friends there and leader of a 200 strong guild. FFXI is not a bad game atall just a let down for the Hype it had recieved.

Or it could be that some people enjoy playing it and will continue to do so until one of two things happens:

1. It stops being fun for us.

2. It goes offline.

I haven't ever read anything from an EQ player that claims one of those two things will eventually happen.

Nice try.
