Just wanted to point that out.

I've bypassed the swear filter several times, have had Kao send me e-mails telling me to change my avatar, but I've never been edited for fucking swearing. And to my knowledge, nobody else has either.

Regardless of what was said when, Kao edited Smash's post that last time, just because he could. Reminding the peasants who is really in charge.

The Asylum: No holds barred forum for deep OOT discourse. Not for the faint of heart.

Indeed.

ROFL, I think we can finally say its offical Gbaji will come down on the opposite side of whatever Smash posts on.

That being said Kaolin should post an apology IMHO.

No need. I'm sure it was just the heat of the moment. I have no hard feelings toward Kao at all, I just think he showed poor judgement on that one action and enough attention's been drawn to it to make my point of view clear.

No harm, no foul.

To make a long story short, I don't take any responsibility for anything I post here. It's not news, it's not truth, it's not serious. It's parody. It's satire. It's bitter. It's angsty. Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

WTF who are you, a kinder gentler form of Smash, I dont believe it =P. You may not feel its neccessary but from a PR perspective with the rest of the forum it would make sense for him to do it, and on a personal level I think that an apology would probably make you both feel better. Maybe I am mistaken, you seem to be handling it well but for him it just well makes sense.

Hehe yeah. Even Allakhazam has posted pretty much that Kao showed poor judgement and we should give him some slack as he is new to being an admin.

Gbaji, just follow the little men in white suits into the little white van. There's a good boy.

Heh.. it was Alla who had that sentiment, not Pat. Your quote is misleading!!

Personally, I think it's common sense, new mod or not, that editing someone's post explicitly to taunt them is a stupid-*** idea and you deserve what ya get. But, that said, he's probably gotten plenty. Next time we'll lay into him with both barrels Smiley: lol

Hey, if I were an admin I'd exploit that ability to its' utmost. But then I'm not really as nice as everybody makes me out to be. Lord knows I've posted my thoughts on bugs, exploits, and cheats on EQ and DAoC enough-- and this is no different. It's all a game and oneupsmanship is what it's all about. The Asylum is no-holds-barred discourse, so if I could work my way under someone's skin by editing their posts I'd be on that like Gary Hart on Rice, like Bill Clinton on a hog, like a Kennedy running down a girl on a beach, like... well, you get my point.

I could only use Dems as examples of criminal behavior since there are no cases of Republican naughtiness that I am aware of. Besides, everybody knows the Kennedy's are as guilty as the day is long.

Ooooh! I forgot one! Like a Kennedy smashing a girl's skull in with a crochet mallet! Like a Kennedy buying and overdosing on heroin!

Help me out here, Stok. There's gotta be dozens of Camelot crimes I've omitted.

Yeah, cause if there were Republican offenses the "liberal media" would be all over them.

Oh, I got ya. See I thought you wanted to be like one of them. Give me a little bit and I'll think of something... like a Clinton buying lake front property to sell as vacation homes. Like Hillary firing 7 members of the White House travel staff to make room for friends.

Stuff like that?

And that is just off the top of my head.

Nah. Different opinions, I guess. If you're good at pissing people off, you can do it without resorting to cheap mechanics to do it for you. Doing it via edits is the same as admitting you have no verbal ammo left and have given up. It's like me claiming to be better at Doom than you because I used cheat codes but you can't do the same or me claiming to be a better fighter because I have full body armor and a baseball bat and you're in a t-shirt and tied to a pole. Maybe you "won", but you're still a pussy.

The reason most of us like most of the admins (in my opinion) is because they can play give & take without crying about it or waving their powers around to show off.

Patrician,
If it makes you feel better, rate me down. It's ok, I get passed around all the time. Matter of fact, I actually announce it now when I drop the soap.
They say it takes the fun out of it, but in the end they all are satisfied. And, of course, that's all I want.

Pat, don't feel too bad.

I've had a karma camper for like 3 weeks now that systematically rates everyone of my posts down. It kinda makes me laugh that s/he's wasting his life doing so. I'm curious to see how long he/she'll actually keep it up.

That is quite apparent as all they can do is "rate you down".

Ineffectual much, Karma Kamping Kids?

By the rating of the post. Sometimes, it is two people. But mostly one.

Plus, I hate to think that I deserve 2 people karma camping me!

We do seem to have a lot of new posters here who appear to be quite knowledgable about many of the old timers.
