the name has grown with me as much as I with it. As a kid, I lived in my own world (still do), and I always thought of this world as my empire. as it was spelled, it didn't look right so I adopted Empyre as it looked more correct to me. I've used it as an alias for as long as I can remember.

Now fully developed as a person, I refer to it as a singular ownership of or more personalized empyrean. what is an empyrean?

Quote:
Main Entry: empyrean
Function: noun
1 a : the highest heaven or heavenly sphere in ancient and medieval cosmology usually consisting of fire or light b : the true and ultimate heavenly paradise
2 : FIRMAMENT, HEAVENS
3 : an ideal place or state

Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

And it's also a small city in afghanistan, which is where Burroughs must have got it. It came up in the Everquest random name generator way back when, so I picked it.

I fround the word Elne in the OED years ago when I was deeply into everything Tolkien. In OE it's spell ellen, and Clare is what I thought was my middle name for 39 years. Mom should have check my birth certificate for spelling errors. Darn records Clerk used the French spelling. Pisses off both my Irish Catholic and Protestant sides.

Back in my oNWN days, guild friends were to pick me up at the train station in Boston, but couldn't remember my ooc name. My other handles didn't sound right being sent over the public accouncement system, so they had me paged as ElneClare. Plus, since the meaning of 'elne' fits in with all the **** I've had to live though for the pass 20 years, thank to my ex, I've taken to a liking to it.

Don't be silly, there's no phrase meaning "will pull out" in Irish, never mind a word.

Got mine from the name of my Beastlord in EverQuest. The name of my Rogue was taken on this board. 99.9 percent of the other boards I read I go by Risk. As to how I came up with Primist I have no clue. It just sounded cool at the time for a Vah Beastlord. Who would have guessed that they called lvl 51 to 54 Beastlords something near that... Oh well...

Big: Big
Killian: Irish + Red (brewed by coors, used to appear on import lists, go figure)

Hence
Me = Big + Irish + Red

Although it was pretty funny when the ex started dating a guy named Ian....

My original Katielynn, was my first everquest character. I decided to change it when we changed from UBB to here. Cherrabwyn was my first DAOC character.
