Maybe someone should go off themselves, then come tell us all about it! Nothing is a greater exercise in futility than trying to fathom life after death.

Unless it's Smash combing his hair.
BAM!

no religious people here? we have books which give us an image of what happens, it saddens me to see all of you here posting and thinking that youre existence is merely restricted to this small earth, its different in every religion but i cant believe no one has brought that up

Iron maiden, good album but not as good as Seventh son of a seventh son or the original Self titled Iron Maiden.

my grandmother died in the hospital and was revived by doctors. when my family was able to see her, she talked of being on the edge of a beautiful lake. her brother (who had died years earlier) was on he other side gesturing for her to come across. She said she wanted to say goodbye to everyone first and came-to under the doctors.

She said her goodbyes and died for good shortly after that night.

not an account of my own experience, but an account nonetheless.

Nothing happens after you die. You're dead. Your body is gone so you can't physically exist an any physical realm. Your brain is gone so you cannot think, see, smell, or retain any type of memory or experience any dialation of time. The part of the brain that creates your ego is gone so you would have no perception of yourself after death. You just cease to exist. Hard to fathom but it's true. It will be the exact same experience you had before you existed in this world. Basically we were dead before we were born and are destined to return to that non-existance.

Better question:

Is there life during life?

lemme guess, some indian gave you a piece of a root and you spent the next couple of hours running through the forest as the woodland creatures filled you in on your previous lives? just a guess.

I thought you are part native, Empyre. Are you speaking from experience again? Smiley: wink

I've had several severe concussions (does it show?) wherein I have experienced the same events that many people who have been clinically dead and revived have had. The white light, the tunnel, the feeling of euphoria. Its probably just caused by lack of oxygen to the brain.

there's also a drug that supposedly forces a chemical release from the brain. closest guess by doctors is the chemical is something the body releases to overcome the shock of death.

if you take the drug your supposed to have like a life altering experience or something. maybe its all connected, maybe when you die you wake up sitting in the weird chair and you have 30 people you think you recognize standing around you going "so, what happened?"

guess we'll all know for sure when its all over.
