How many of you occasionally pause the game to rub one out? It occurs to me that this game has become the new Tomb Raider, and is making for sticky screens everywhere. I'm just curious, so if you take it the wrong way, go cry elsewhere. I just want honest answers to a direct question.
You can be honest. I won't tell.

I'm a girl, so this doesn't seem to apply to me. I think this question would only pertain to guys who admit they play girl characters because they like to watch them walk across their screen.

Personally, I think the scene most advantageous to what you're suggesting is the character generation screen, where the Mithra character in her flimsy little outfit is rolling around and sauntering across the screen.

There aren't very many male characters there that I find particularly attractive. They all look like they've got a pole up their butt or are just .. ugly. ^^ Just my opinion.

Smiley: lolGood post. Can't say I drop the game to go beat it.....However I have left it running while spending "quality time" with my wife. When we're done I promptly return to the game(note: if you dont want a pissed off wife I wouldnt recommend leaving her side til she falls asleep).

If I wasn't as addicted to FFXI as my husband, then I'd agree with that. ^^

Back when I tried FFXI, the character generation screen for the Elvaan female cracked me up. Some sort of model catwalk thing going on. Then I hit the Mithra screen and lost it. Writhing and frolicking cat-girls, rolling around in the grass and making long, languid stretches. Classy! Smiley: laugh

City of Heroes is probably worse. For every female in a decent outfit, there's three dressed like geeky porno fantasies. I don't even want to think about how many never make it out of the costume generator.

The male models creep me out and I don't know if it's because they look so metrosexual or if it's because they make me want to rub one out.

I don't know what you are talking about. I have never even looked at the female character models, honest!

I wonder if it was the wives or mothers responsible.

Ha! That Mithra thing is too funny. I played one (for the Thief stats, thankyouverymuch) and don't remember anyhting all that obscene about her sitting, but then again I didn't eaxctly sit and pan around her either.

I have a mix of male and female characters on CoH, except my females are all dressed in street clothes. My blaster is dressed in a "school uniform" (suit top, skirt bottom) which has worked well enough except for when she got Hover. Seeing her gently floating 6' off the ground next to the Atlas statue, my immediate thought was "That's probably not such a good thing to do in a miniskirt" Smiley: laugh

My natural assault blaster is dressed in jeans and a leather coat, by the way, lest you think I'm a pervert. And my Tanker couldn't get much more virtueous in her costume Smiley: wink

What server (or servers) do you play on Jophiel? I have been playing since the early start (well late beta but you couldn't keep the characters) and I have yet to get a character past level 12. There are just to many combinations I want to try.

Edit: I mean on CoH, I couldn't play FFXI after a few days *shudder*

I started on Champion, but a group of us from the Straight Dope Message Boards started a Supergroup (aka guild for those of you reading this) on Virtue. Stupid Virtue is always yellow/red though so I wish we had done it on a different server.

My range of characters is only 2-9. I had an 8 on Champion (well, I still do) before we formed on Virtue, so that slowed me down or else Mother Marie (the above pictured nun) would at least be in her teens. But, like you, I get a new idea every other day and keep cycling about half of my slots.

I've pretty much made a conscious decision to ignore the CoH forums and stuff. The game is, to me, just plain fun. I don't feel like hearing that my Tanker sucks because I didn't slot some power enough or that only a moron would make a Blaster without Devices for caltrops.

The Mithra character selection boggled my mind as well, looked like she was having some fun with the green grass. And what I thought was really stupid about the Tarutaru male one is that when choosing their face you couldn't see it because all they would show you was the side view of them running and falling flat on their face. I think I spent a good five minutes laughing at the female Tarutaru dancing along to the music.

Min/maxing in CoH goes against the whole point of the game. You are supposed to be making the super hero of your dreams not the 13373ST pixel on the block so I agree.

I play on Pinicale BTW, never gets above two dots. Just enough people to get a good team going without a lot of lag or a lot of outside farmers (another thing I don't get, play the missions or go play EQ, sheesh).

I think that Lineage II is the worst of the worst as far as skimpy character designs. My little cousin (13) was playing the beta and I almost died when i saw the outfits for the girls in that game. Dark elves and such are wearing what amounts to butt floss and a halter top. I kno they are just games, but even I felt embarrassed..

Local LAN cafe installed the game. I stopped going there pretty quickly.

I'm bringing this one back to the front. Sorry if it's old news to ya. BTW flea, I'd rub one out during play if I had a second comp or I could window ffxi. ideepthroat DOT com is the sheeeeeiiiiiit. $20 a month, heather brooke is a good girl, i get a few emails here and there when I send her jokes and such. a worthy cause.

The day I kill a kitten over a mithra is the day I would like to be shot. I think it takes a bit more than a scantily clad cat girl to get me all worked up... Though if someone had some bdsm pics with one, I might change my mind.

so count me as a no.

gosh... with all the incalculable quantities of **** on the internet, i find it interesting that someone wouldnt have already been so desensitized to sex that they'd be that stimulated by final fantasy....

(i am reminded of a quote from Futurama: "Great, now that i'm bored with sex... is there anything else to do on the internet"?)

Jophiel has had strange sexual fantasies ever since the spankings he used to get by the nuns at his school.

****? Just cause I require hardcore pictures of catgirls being tied and flogged to get aroused enough to interrupt my game.

I believe the term you're looking for is deviant.

Better than the alternative, I suppose.

You know, I don't think I've ever seen a hot nun. I'm sure there's a decent percentage of men who enter the priesthood who are good looking to the female sorts, but I've never seen a nun who didn't look like five miles of hard road. These are the sorts of things Bush should have been talking to the Pope about instead of bestowing silly awards to cosy up to the Catholic community.
