Rummy's first big order of business was to try to absolve himself of the "President found out by watching 60 Minutes" bit by stressing how the Pentagon already told everyone there was abuses a long time ago and the press didn't break this story. He said that they had "told the world" about it. The only reason we were watching testimony today was because, had it not been for the pictures going into the press, there's no reason to believe there'd be more done today about it than there was four months ago.
