U.S. Marines announced Thursday an agreement to end a bloody, nearly four-week-old siege of Fallujah, saying American forces will pull back and allow an all-Iraqi force commanded by a former Saddam Hussein-regime general to take over security.

We have liberated you from Saddam the Tyrant! Um, playing the role of Saddam the Tyrant this week, one of his former generals.

Start digging the mass gravces boys!

But we're supposed to be handing control of the country back to the Iraqi people, right? So where are all the peaceful, pro-Western moderates who will run the country without making us watch our asses?

Huh, that's funny, I don't see any.

According to a reliable information source(IE:CNN just about an hour ago) The Pentagon denies that this deal exists, and say they will continue their work in Fallujah.

However the US marines in Fallujah have been pulling their positions back, and have been saying that they will be leaving.

I am more inclined to trust the marines, but you should wait until you see what the Pentagon does before you make any rash judgements.
