To make a long story short, I don't take any responsibility for anything I post here. It's not news, it's not truth, it's not serious. It's parody. It's satire. It's bitter. It's angsty. Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

Evil Dead 2 (Dead by Dawn) is my favorite of the three.

The first movie is like a film school project. The second movie almost ignores the existance of the first (with a bit of cursory narration) and does the job over outrageously well and the third is like their high budget grand finale.

The third movie had some great lines, but the second movie had some really impressive camera work.

Ever see the original clip? It all started with a 15 minute slaughterfest. Good stuff.

But yea, I really liked 2. I think Bruce and Sam finally realized after 2 that ED wasn't working as a horror, and was more funny then scary, and put that knowledge to use for 3.

You don't think 2 was funny? Come on, the flying eyeball!

That movie makes me laugh my **** off. They all do, really.

No, I'm saying 2 was funny - that's the whole point! They were still trying to make it into a horror during 2, and then they realized it was funny, so they made 3 an all out comedy.

Hmmmmm, I find it hard to believe the 2nd one was meant to be scary.

Which is exactly why they had to camp up the third movie. People apparently weren't picking up that it was a horror spoof.

I thought Evil Dead was stupid.
Never saw Dead by Dawn
Army of Darknes was cute, but just mediocre.

According to interviews with Sam and Bruce, they were trying to make 2 scary, they weren't doing parody until 3. But hey, the Deadites site is slowly dying a painful death, so the stuff on there could be wrong. *Shrugs*
