Anyone mention Tom Cruise in "Legend"? My god, that movie made me sit on the toilet for a week.
Great soundtrack though, which um... kinda makes up for it.
I'd like to take exception with the Kevin Costner post earlier. Costner is a sucky actor. IMO, Waterworld and the Postman were very good movies for him. They at least had characters that he could play (wooden, self interested, anti-hero, anti-romantic). You can like or not like the genre's of those films, but the casting was "right". As opposed to all of those morons who keep trying to cast Costner in a romantic lead role (which he absolutely sucks balls at). He was actually pretty good in "No way out" (which was acually a pretty neat flick as well). But this is about good actors in the worst films.
I think that "Thin Red Line" should get a special award in this category (or maybe a catagory all to itself). This is the only film I've ever been to where people actually cried in relief when it finally ended. I actually heard people saying: "Oh thank God!" when the credits finally ran. Whether you think any of the actors in the film qualify as top 10 material, the sheer number of heavy hitters should count for something. I'm no follower of the oscars, but I know that several of the actors have gotten nominations. Not sure if there were any award winners in it though.
