Just curious, why do americans care about princess diana?

It's seems they care more than us brits, and its our royalty, can anyone explain this to me please?

Because people are stupid?

Or maybe it's due to every girl's childhood fantasy of being a princess?

Besides, we got our own tragic royal family, the Kennedys.

Maybe, but i didnt see an enthusiasm before she died, and who wants to be a dead princess?

I mean you guys never made a fuss when the queen mother died and she was cool. Or is it because americans are fascinated with car crashes that just makes her death extra special.

We're attracted to media circuses like skinny Hindus to Indiana Jones.

Yeah, it's the cult of celebrity worshipped by Americans. And Diana's story ended so tragically and with so many unanswered questions. Turned her into one of the mega-celebs of all time.

Wouldn't have turned out that way if she was butt ugly lol

it is sad that she died but personally i dont give a sh*t anymore, especially since it was years ago.

Well theres a difference between her crying on a videotape saying how much Prince Charles is a **** and her mangled corpse being filmed by french ********* paparazzisand then shown to the celebrity obsessed U.S populous.

I happened to see the pictures conserned on a web site not long after the accident. They where pretty gruesome but put alot of stupid comments like 'why didn't they help her', 'She was murdered' into perspective

1. She was basicly dead at the scene, there is no way people recover from the sort of Injuries she had unless the crash into a hospital
2. Assasination by Car crash is not reliable, and believe me, she was in a car wreck.

She was a very sly woman who played the media like a lute, she came out of every incedent including adultary smelling of roses.

I have sympathy for her in that she died and more so for her children but she is not any more worthy of hero worship than her former husband.

Not necessarily, my timid young friend. I believe the urban people would say "Spit that game, nyuguh". I mean, she could find your youth "cute" and let you throw her a bone.
