ive decided never to argue with anyone on this forumFollow

#1 Apr 27 2004 at 2:09 PM Rating: Good

ive realized that it is stupid to argue with any of you because some of you are just plain idiots and since i can never truly argue my point over replying back and forth during a argument it is meaningless. so i vow to remain nuetral :)

Right after you name this song...

Up here on the ledge
I’m getting pushed to the edge
People line up behind me to step into my shoes’
Up here in the precipice
I’m getting close to my nemesis
People fighting each other to jump into my blues

There’s a young kid inside me somewhere
He stays up all night’ a vampire that never dies’
With the blood and the moon in his eyes
I hear his voice when I’m comin’ down’
Sleep is for fools’ whe never see the sunrise’
Who never get to live twice.

I was a face in a magazine’
When you were still playin’ with your plasticine’
Now you’re doggin’ my tail’ ridin’ the slipstream’
You can take the fans and the enemies
The little girls who squeeze and tease
Then pass on their social disease’
Go get your penicillin.

I know you young and dumb’
I know where you’re comin’ from.
Don’t know where you’re goin’ to’
But I bin there same as you’
You’re running out of ideas’
And new hats to try on.
I know you middle age
Same song’ different page’
I know what you’re goin’ through
Made the same mistakes as you’
All you want is some hope
And a shoulder to cry on.

There’s a stranger inside me somewhere
That shadow behind me’ don’t even look like me.
An echoed apology.
He’s a wolf in sheep disguise’
I wake up in places I don’t even recognize’
Pretender in paradise.

It’s your turn’ step up and take it
If you’ve got the guts to hang on
You can make.
C’mon’ c’mon’ come on’
Ooooh take it!

Coming from a 16 year old kid who probably doesn't even have hair on his nuts, this doesn't cut too deep.

Step 1: Learn how to use grammar and puncutation.
Step 2: Get an opinion worth arguing about.

So you are gay!

Trunks, winning, losing, it all doesn't really matter, it is the participation that counts. I know this sounds like the testimonial of a loser, but it's true. I got played, not but two days ago, but here I am ready for more. I am finally begining to see what's going on around here. It took me about a week. I wonder what the average is?

Hmm, it seems that I've rubbed you the wrong way somehow, Xbow, and not in a sexual way, of course. If I happened to hate on your ****, you do have a right to be pissed. But if you take up arms every time you get singled out for a flaming, you're missing the point. Try to sit back and relax.

That being said, shut your ******* pie hole.

Nah, haven't been too pissed off by anyone yet.

I'm just testing to see how things work around here.

After all, this Forum seems to revolve around sarcasm and being quick~witted, which most regular posters are.

So no worries, keep hatin on poeple's sh*t. ^^

The vast majority who actually sign their name to a post get hit hard enough that they rarely return. It seems to follow this formula:

1) Mr. Newbie reads OoT for a while and resists the temptation to post due to the nastiness which goes on or because the subjects require a working knowledge or semi-intelligent point of view.

2) He either sees a post he just has to say something on or finally works up the courage to make an innocuous fluffy thread.

3) He gets flamed. Hard.

4) This time, while attempting to defend himself, he gets flamed by the entire board.

5) He develops a thicker skin or retreats to wherever it was he came from where they have no sharp edged corners or meanies lurking about waiting to pounce on babes in the woods.

It is an effective method of culling the weaker strains from the resilient ones, Katielynn excepted. She is like a mutant creature which lives off Raid and RoundUp, and would shrivel up and die if she weren't exposed to intense ultraviolet, gamma, and X-rays 24/7. We continue to study this anomaly...

Bluie,
You reminded me of one other type of poster-- one we used to have in abundance back on the old OoT board --the syncopant, the cheerleader, the yes-man. This person agrees with everything his hero/mentor/protector says regardless of the veracity of the post. Smash and Taco had a following of these types, but when they went on hiatus from the OoT, most of them died off, never to return.

To my recollection, we haven't had any prior to trunksbrando on this board. Perhaps Skeeter is trying to resurrect this archtype? If so, shame on him!

That would be "It's Your Turn", by The Who. I miss John Entwistle...

Back on topic, there's nothing wrong with arguing with people here, as long as every statement isn't along the lines of "you're a ƒuckin' idiot" and you actually have a statement with substance and... oh wait... nevermind.

/returns to being silent.

Editorial comment: The "you" I mentioned, Bluie, is the collective you rather than a specific you. After reading my post I can see where that would easily be misconstrued. My error.

Holy cats, that explanation was even more mangled than the previous post. Let's try this one more time, shall we? The "you" I mentioned was you, but not as the subject of my thought. You just reminded me of a third type of poster. Is this any clearer or can I cuisinart it any worse, lol?

So I learn the hard way, and then you just spell it out for everyone else. The only reason I stayed to dig deeper is because Tare seems to like it here, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

I imagine Smash ate a few of these. I can see how this would happen with Smash though. He is a master of illusion, and talking out of his ***.

Woo-hoo! Shameen, you saw for miles and miles even thought the Pinball Wizard didn't. I have to confess I lied when I said I would remain silent.

The gig is up. I'm disingenuous. :)
