The men in my family tend toward a small "friar tuck" type bald spot the size of a yamaka on the back of our heads. No sign of it yet, though. I'll probably just become an orthadox Jew if I go bald.

Still a full head of hair here. Actually, each time I get it cut, the girl always remarks on how full it is. I credit it to a fairly maintenance free hair style which means I never hose it down with hairspray, mousse, gel or other chemical cocktails.

No signs of thinning hair yet, but going by my dad, I'm pretty much screwed by the time I reach 40.

My hair is still getting thicker and fuller. I think I'm pretty safe in that department.

My roommate, though, hasn't taken his hat off in about four months, and it's pretty obvious that the few hairs straying from underneath don't grow from anywhere above the tops of his ears. Poor guy...

What a subject for my first post, Oh well.
Yes I am starting to get a wee bit bald up there. I will be hitting 40 in June and have started to notice it, that and the fact I am starting to look a bit like Grandpa from the Munsters where the hair around my temples is slowly backing away in fear of it's life or something.

I'm not going bald, I'm shaving bald.
I prefer the look of myself having very short to no hair in pictures over the ones when I used to have hair.

Definately not, my hairline is making a break towards my eyebrows in fact. Prerceding hairline, I am going to miss my forehead. I actually don't look all that different than spock there

Yeah, the faimly curse is starting to catch up with me at 33. I still have hair all over my head, but the part is getting wider. I consider myself lucky I made it this long. My two uncles were bald before 30, and my Dad has had a comb over for as long as I can remember.

Just wanted to point out that male pattern baldness is generally carried by the mother's genes (as odd as that may seem). So looking at your dad wont necessarily be a firm way to tell. Look at your uncle (on your mothers side), or your maternal grandmother's brother (if you have one).

I've got the receeding temples thing going. Not too badly yet, but it'll get there eventually I'm sure. No sign of any bald spot yet though...

Good to see you again Mike. Haven't had the benefit of your calm and even keeled demeanor lately.

Thanks - nice to be missed. Been busy. Work has been nasty lately. New director, reorg, etc. To top it off, we have a new problem source that the locals have been organizing against (I'm at an air pollution control agency).

It seems that the neighbors of a local mortuary are upset at the night-time operations of the crematory (can't say I blame them). They want the crematory shut down - we have legal restrictions - not enough people to qualify the situation as a "public nuisance" - they only operate at night and we don't have the budget for "after-hours" surveillance or complaint response - et cetera, et cetera, et cetera...

The few neighbors affected are frustrated (again - I don't blame them) and are now complaining to other agencies... ABOUT US. So now we have to do 10X the paperwork responding to questions from other agencies...

Back to the grind - carry on - ummm.... oh yeah!
You know what they say, "Once You Go Bald, You'll Never Go Back!"

Not me, I have a full, luscious head of hair. Its the envy of every barber I visit. It makes me look ten years younger than I really am.

After I got out of the service I grew it down to my waist, but it was an incredible pain in the *** to keep up. It ended up under me everytime I sat down, half of it would be flopping in the breeze outside my car door as I drove down the road. It was just way too much of a pain in the *** to keep, so I had funeral for it and cut it short.
