I just have to say in the defense of Midwesterners, that some of us do watch and thoroughly enjoy those negro comedians...more so than Louie Anderson. Although I personally enjoyed Drew Carey a lot too

In fairness, I should point out that a) most of what I type is complete crap and b) I am not a midwesterner, I just find myself trapped by in-laws in this god-foresaken armpit of the country. Stick around though. All will become clear in a short period of time.

For what it's worth, I like that Eddie Murphy fellow as well. But only when he's playing a donkey or has a haunted house. I don't like him when he's playing a policeman or something because he swears too much.

I like Dave Chapelle. Chris Rock was funnier, but in his last stand up routine on HBO, I could have done without the middle 30 minutes of racist ranting. Bill Cosby almost makes me pee my pants. Himself is one of the funniest stand up routines I have ever seen. Don't forget the brown comics, either. Paul Rodriguez still has one of the funniest jokes out there IMO. It's the one about the way Whites, Blacks and Mexicans walk, ending in "Mexican people, we walk all layed back with our feet waaay out in front. It's to show off the shoes we just got off of lay-a-way at K-Mart".
I feel like an Irish jig.
