OMG, a post from tech support monkeys :o
I work in DSL tech support for a major ISP (can't name, because it's outsourced), and I deal with so many unintelligent people, it makes me sick.
Recently, I've moved up in the company, to a senior tech position, where I answer the questions of the techs you get when you call in as a customer.
In this position, I have realized why tech support has such a bad rep...
Half the people I work with do not know what they are doing, and therefore can not solve the customer's issue.
I can't tell you the number of times I've heard an agent tell me that pinging 169.294.xx.xx doesn't work, or the times I've been told that 192.168.xx.xx is a valid internet IP. And don't get me started about the girl that didn't know how to spell "winver". Apparently, she thought there was a y in it.
Lack of intelligence makes me sick. Complete ignorance makes me cry.
