Mrs. Wysh and I love this show.

Swearengton (sp?) is utterly vile, completely without any redeeming virtues.. ya gotta love him. We're enjoying it immensely.

I love it. I thought the opening scene to the first episode was classic. I am interested to see where they can take it. Of course, it has the best lead in a time slot could ever hope to have. With the Sopranos immediately preceeding it, HBO has me for at least 2 hours every Sunday (been that way for years now).

WTF is up with killing Wild Bill off?!

I mean I like show with the balls to kill major characters, but on the third episode? Or fourth, whatever.

I love this show and was pissed that they killed off Wild Bill as well. However, I looked it up on google and found that Bill's death is consistent with history.

"James Butler Hickok was born in Troy Grove, Illinois, on May 27, 1837, and was shot dead in a saloon in Deadwood, Dakota Territory, on August 2, 1876."

From this website,

Thanks for the spoiler warning!! Since my wife works nights, we usually watch via digital cable the next morning. Well, at least she'll still be surprised.

I am into Deadwood too, but I just hope they don't go down the same vague road as Carnivale has. I love that show as well, just give me a little something more to go on!

Sopranos is finally back to being a decent show again.

I personally can't wait for Six Feet Under ;) That's by far my favorite Sunday night HBO show.

Sorry to bump such an old topic, but this show is really good. I liked the relationship between Swearengen and the preacher. Very solid writing. Looking forward to another season.

It's only on a subscription channel over here, but there are posters around.

I recognise the face on the commercials. Is that Ian McShane?

Slightly off topic, but it is for a worthy cause: I represent the demographic of people who, for whatever reason, remain in the lower eschelon of quality for syndicated TV shows. Our message to you:

You snooty bastards.

You think your fancy, high quality shows are so much better than the average joe's show. You and your Home Box Office. Pheh! You make us humble folk sick! The one-hundred channels offered from basic cabel just aren't enough for you, are they. You all with your college education and higher tax brackets . Pheh! The "R" rating wasn't good enough for you either, was it?! You had to come out with your MA TV rating! You bastards can keep your golden globes and the like, we don't want them.

ABC is good enough for me!
