The only people trying to change it are those people who want discrimination made into law.
It is not discrimination, you are free to and have the right to marry anyone that you desire so long as it is a person of the opposite sex. What is happening is that the marriage laws need to be worded to state precisely what it means. Political Correctness has crossed a line where every thing needs to be defined down to a knats *** in detail and proper wording so that people who fit outside what is considered "normal" will understand they do not conform to what a vast majority of society accepts as normal and is willing to condone.

The "minority" is simply making an attempt to make the law for all apply to all.
The law does apply to all that can be catagorized as a man and woman joining together to be considered as one in the eyes of the law.
By banning the marriage of the people that actually fit the legal description takes away the rights of those individuals and is wrong by its very enactment and speaks against what the liberals are arguing that marriage is a right. Any government body in the United States should never be allowed to arbitrarily revoke any citizens rights without due cause. Had a conservative county done this you would be in an uproar over this... oh wait a minute Rhea County in Tn just tried doing this and liberals jumped all over them for being bigots.
hmmmm makes one wondered doesn't it.
