Happy V-Day to you!

Last night was Skeet's birthday, so he is currently sleeping off last night. What are your plans?

Merri's father's band is playing today ... a Valentine's Day show for some accountants. So we're off to do that. She has to work sound for them but it should still be fun. Will probably spend the night at her dad's (not very romantic, but oh well!) and head home tomorrow.

What did you decide on?

edit: sorry! had to go find some wicked v-day background for her computer. she's still asleep. muhahaha

Damn it I am watching the Great Gatsby and it's depressing me.

Well, since last night was Skeet-day (as if every day isn't), I am hoping tht he has some amazing thing planned for me to even things out, but we're probably doing the movies and dinner... I doubt anything extra-ordinary. Smiley: rolleyes

Especially now that breakfast in bed is out.

What kind of music does his band play?
#6 Feb 14 2004 at 10:04 AM Rating: Excellent
A mix of 50s-60s-70s. They label themselves "beach music". It's a pretty fun show. I don't dance but I really like just watching the band and other people dance. I love seeing people have a good time, makes my heart glad.

Dinner and a movie doesn't sound *that* bad. I do believe that Merri and I skipped all the card/gift giving stuff. Unless, like usual, she told me she would and then got me something anyway. You'd think after 4 years I'd figure out that's her sneaky little plan, but I never do. Too trusting, I am!

=)

I might entertain myself by kicking the $##@ out of Skeet's roommates, but really I miss quality time with my honey. I might unplug both our computers and force him outside, except that I want to cook him a nice dinner (Nice for Skeet=something with french fries) and cuddle a bit. How's Merri's Dad? Cool? I'm always thrilled when Dads are cool since mine is so illogical...

I got Skeet some new sneakers and some Oakley A-line's as a combo Birthday/V-Day gift. Not to mention I put out, which quite frankly, isn't hard for me to do around this fine piece of man-candy.

You DON'T DANCE?????

Heresy! All my brown ancestors weep for you.

I actually take dance breaks at work. All my officemates used to seeing me sweep out of my cubicle doing some frenzied salsa turn.

You know what's strange (at least to me)? Merri's mom gave us a V-Day present. I also got a card from a friend. I thought it was a lover's holiday. Sheesh.

Her dad is pretty cool. The only ***** I have about him is you get about 5% real conversation and then 95% drum/music related. Both her parents are good people and have accepted me completely. Her mom actually cried when I told her I was going to CA for a month. *sigh* It's nice to have family that loves me here, even if it can't replace my wacked out family back home. There's nothing like your own genetic insanity to make you feel welcome.

Skeeter is a lucky guy. Smiley: wink2 And I'm sure he knows that.
#10 Feb 14 2004 at 10:15 AM Rating: Excellent
Heheh. I don't dance because I'm really shy. That and I suck at it. LOL

OMG Flea. I just noticed your avatar. I loves it! Smiley: inlove I'm going to print it out and staple it to my dog.

Have you seen the "Goodbye Kitty" stickers? They are sooo wrong. I like them.

No joke! I got a card from my sister-in-law and I was like "Ummm...." I think that the marketing gods are starting to try to spread it into a "all kinds of love" type holiday.

Just gave in to temptation and pulled off Skeet's blanket. Hmm. Satisfying.

No, I haven't seen the kitty stickers! Must google them, although I find myself in my "bunny" period. Those Happy Bunnies are da ****.

Yeah, my Dad talks about NASA all day long, and calls me after he reads about the girl in FL and says things like "Gangs are kidnapping women in Florida. Cancel your trip." He's a teeny weeny bit wacko.

Aren't we all?

My favorite kitty one shows the kitty in the microwave. Unfortunately, I haven't seen that one on the 'net.

LOL Thanks for trying, Flea. But "this" and "this" are still the same.

Me thinks one of us is crazy. Probably me, since that's usually the case.

I tried your "pull the blanket off the sleeping sweetie" trick and the dog growled at me.

Girls kissing

and Teamwork.

Should be different now.

Skeet rolled over and mumbled "I'll get you a fruit and yogurt parfait" and is now watching tv. He IS romance.

So. I'm reading this book by Terry Pratchett called "Monstorous Regiment", and the main character reminds me of you. I have no idea why. So I mentioned it to Merri (who read the book before me) and she agreed.

Mayhap you should check this book out.

Can I assume she is a complete and total badass?

I'm currently shopping online. Found a dress I wanted that was $89 that is now $30. Yay!

Uh-oh... (From Amazon.com's reviews of that book)

Very cute dress. =)

She's really cool. Trying to pretend she's a guy atm, hence the scratching and such. Again, I'm not sure what it is about her that reminds me of you, but since it struck Merri too there must be something there...

I used to try to pretend I was a guy, although I'm sure no one was fooled as there is just no disguising my J-Lo like posterior. I might actually have to read that book. I'm glad in retrospect I didn't join the book club thread just yet, though. Sometimes I have to physically restrain myself from responding to comments on that thread.
